Hi my name is Natalja from the Red Brick Cafe,
and on behalf of Expertvillage.com, we're going to learn how to make espresso blended
drinks with care and excellence. Now we're going to talk about some milk steaming no
no when it comes to steaming milk for cappuccinos. First example is when people keep putting
the pitcher up and down while steaming. This is obviously not the right way to steam milk
and will cause the milk to frap up and be very tasteless styrofoamey-like. The second
example is when people leave the pitcher on the espresso machine with the steam wand on.
You should never ever do it this way because you can't control the heat of the pitcher,
and it's going to scold the milk. The third example is when people let too much air into
the foaming process. This is going to make really unpleasant bubbles and make the milk
spill all over the place. This is obviously not the right way to steam milk for a cappuccino.
