Please explain how to make homemade dog treat using the honest kitchen zeal

so we're using the zeal as a base for this we've got some zeal up here it's it's made with wild line court haddock as well as some Pollock there's a little bit of salmon in there and it's a grain free diet so grain free is a great choice for pets who have got chronic ear infections and skin problems as my dog did a lot of dogs who are sensitive to grains will end up with chronic GI upset colitis that type of thing because they're the basic thank you they're basically having diarrhea just to expel the ingredient that they can't tolerate so if you if your dog or cat is suffering with chronic GI upsets of some kind really do look at diet as being the culprit there they're having that reaction for a reason and it's usually because they can't tolerate something that you're feeding to them so so far in here we've got the a cup of zeal and then one kind of tuna fish and then we're going to add a little bit of water we use cold ideally you'd want to use warm water but that's okay and then we're going to do one egg and these are free-range eggs from my garden so you'll see nice colored shells but a will do a blue one for this yes yeah you could do either I'm tuna fishing water ideally with the low sodium but for something like this that's just an occasional meal or a treat it doesn't really matter if they have a little bit extra sodium and compared to how they would in a in their diet you don't want to go crazy on the sodium but yes you could do it in olive oil or a brine or something like that okay so you've got those two then we're gonna do a little bit of chopped parsley do not chop up the parsley on this chopping board don't chop your fingers off cuz there's 50 people watching we're just gonna roughly chop it doesn't have to be too finely chopped and again the parsley being a green vegetable it's got a little bit of beta-carotene but mainly lutein bursting with phytonutrients it's really vibrant a green and bursting with natural nutrition so you could yeah that's fine so you can tip that in and they'll still need a little bit of coconut oil why did that go oh there it is can you take a little versus already melted yeah coconut oil is a really great ingredient for for you guys to cook with and it's also really beneficial for pets there's actually some research that shows that coconut meat and coconut oil have an amazing an amazing immune enhancing effect for viruses and for bacterial infections it's actually been shown to be protective against canine influenza which that's not necessarily an issue in all areas of the country all year but from time to time in different regions canine influenza will crop up and coconut there's a compound in coconut that's thought to be protective against that so somebody okay great and do you guys sell it here okay yeah you've got yeah you've got a few different coconuts okay Oh okay yeah I think um there's one actually down yeah dr. McCann yes dr. McAndrew yeah she's awesome yeah yeah she's fantastic yeah so you guys can get dr. McAndrews contact information yeah did you have another question no don't apologize it's great we did about two tablespoons in this and as I said I think we've got everybody's email address so we can actually email around these recipes if you want to recreate these treats and then I'm probably spoiling the surprise but in your your goodie bag that you're taking home there's actually a recipe card in here and it's basically a mix and match so there's endless different combinations of treats that you can make and you can either bake them or you can do them raw as the ones that what we're gonna do today without cooking so you basically would choose a food from the top row of the chart and then you'll choose one thing from each row going all the way down basically just combine everything as we're doing here they're all the instructions are on the card and you guys can have some fun with those want to get home you're the first people in the country to see this this is a brand new thing this is kind of our prototype so we're gonna be trying it out on you before it goes we're probably gonna do this as a giveaway in our boxes later on in the year but you guys getting a sneak peek at it yes oh we don't really have a table spoon so we're just we hope can be kind of rough with the guidelines so you could just pour a little bit into here a little bit there we go yeah yeah so once it cools down is actually gonna go solid like like butter but it's pure white but it's actually can actually be quite hard but once it warms up it goes goes into a nice oily liquid so can get all of this mixed up junus die right what do you want to hold this do i stir you cancer I think there's some willing taste testers down they drooling on you quit makes quickly Asha they're waiting we'll do a bit more the answer it's kind of hard to mush it all together joke means have a go so basically you just mix this up into Selina maker browser and then you can either cook these if you wanted at about 350 degrees just cook them in an oven on a bit on a greased baking sheet or you can actually just serve them raw so with this when you act when you when you make our food if you're going to serve the honors kitchen as a regular diet the consistency should be about like oatmeal depending on the recipe some of them are a little bit thinner and more soupy and then some are kind of a thicker consistency and a little bit more kind of doughy when you're making the treats you want to add a little bit less water to make it make it that kind of thicker consistency just purely because it's easier to work with because it's gonna get kind of messy here in a second there's a clean and a filthy way to make these the clean way is that you can use a couple of tablespoons and measure it out and then just kind of flatten down to make like a a crab cake or a fish cake shape and then the messy way which Talia and I are going to demonstrate is to use your hands so you guys can dive in there and just make someone you kind of basically make a ball to begin with and then just squash it flat to make like a crab cake yeah yes okay yeah that's a good question there's actually a couple of options on here and if you look on the recipe card there are some different variations of binder you could use something like cream cheese if they're I'm not sensitive to Dairy another great binder is actually ground flaxseed there's a brand called Bob's Red Mill which you can buy at sprouts so that's a good option as a binder and the other one is chia seeds which are kind of a new trending ingredient there another superfood when you hydrate chia seeds they kind of take on this gelatinous kind of like if you guys have ever seen frogs born but this sort of gelatinous consistency and that actually works really well as a binder as well for vegan people use it in vegan cooking in place of eggs all right well done they actually look quite good so we've got a little bit of limited space here but we're just gonna kind of show you these as an example and you can share them around if you guys want to oh that's probably enough for one but that one on Asha yeah so do if you wanna can they have one okay if you want to take them around to the front carefully and then you can any dog sewer here can have one so these as I said these are no bake great fish cakes that we're gonna have in a cooker here they're perfectly fine to feed raw because obviously we've got the can tuned and it doesn't need to be cook there's no bacterial risk there but you can bake them too if you want to make something that lasts a bit longer you could store it for a couple days in the fridge I'm just you're just baking it at 350 for about 20-25 minutes or so I'm just so it goes slightly crispy and dehydrate it's a little bit in the oven one more over here guys or two more look what just happened to you anyway yummy good job girls
