hi I'm Julie Highland owner of J Highland interiors in Phoenix Arizona today I'm going to talk to you about decorating your fireplace mantel for spring we have several elements that give you the concept of what spring is about bright colors green yellow bright flowers and just kind of keeping everything light and airy I have some apothecary jars which I filled with yellow candy which kind of brings in it's a great way to bring in color and also an element of whimsy apothecary jars are really useful for lots of different things and you can change them change what you put in them for different different types of arrangements I also have a green glass vase which kind of anchors it brings in green in a different form of material and then candles in different heights behind me I have a tall arrangement which is going to go on the heart that o embody all the colors and bring in more other floral element so putting this floral vase in the center really draws your eye is the focal point of the arrangement the bright orange adds a pop of color which is in contrast to the rest of the colors used in the arrangement so topiary tree on one end is high tall and it kind of anchors the one end then you have glass candlesticks with white candles it's varied candle heights another one candle over here and then using green and yellow as the rest of the theme Green vase and yellow candies in the apothecary jars then down to the tall arrangement which has all of these colors in it I added a green leaves which is a sign of spring and new growth and it kind of brings that color all the way through from one end to the other
