hi my name is marcus lowe and i'm the service manager with rad water systems and i'm here today to show you step by step on how to manually regenerate your water softener i'm the only reason that you really have to manually regenerate a kinetico water softener is if you run out of salt the place that you have to manually regenerate the system at is what we call the cap area look for the cap area now depending on what year your system is the cap may be a different color or it may not be as clear or be a clear cap like this one and some of it some of you may even possibly have a little bit of rust in there but what you want to do is look this way look for that indicator dot it's either going to be in a 12 o'clock position or the six o'clock position if you're facing in front of your water softener you want to take your step with your phillips screwdriver remember if you don't press down in front of that indicator dot it's just going to go right over it so take your indicator find out where it is press down on that step turn it clockwise to the letter b for brian once you hear water go to the drain let it go you
