hi my beautiful friends how are you doing it's me me here today so Hunger Games movie is out today and I thought it would be a perfect time to do it you know the braid worn by Katniss that has been requested so many times it's probably one of the most requested hairstyles ever and at first I thought it looks a bit complicated because she has sort of a Dutch or reverse braid whatever you want to call it kind of going in the back of her head and you know I love to do simple and easy hairstyles like I don't know if I can do this one but I tried it and it's actually really easy so I'm gonna show you today how to recreate the same hairstyle super fast super easy I know you guys are gonna love it so for this tutorial you're making need a hair brush and you are going to need sort of it you know a little hair elastic in the color of your hair I'm gonna turn around so you guys can see what I'm doing in the back now like always before you start the hairstyle you just want to brush the hair make sure there are no tangles or knots and then you can go ahead and braid the hair so we're gonna start braiding here right at the top of my right side you can start on your left side it really up to you I'm gonna start braiding from here all the way down and then it's gonna sort of end in a side braid over here on my left side now the first thing you want to do is just start a bit at the top of your head and you wanna grab a section sort of not too thick not too thin thick enough to make a braid and now the first thing you're gonna do is split the section in three so you're gonna split this in three equal sections and we're gonna do a reverse braid or I don't know some people call it Dutch braid I've done a video on that um before and I'm gonna link it down below if you don't know how to do a reverse braid you can look at that tutorial and then I found before it's really easy so the first thing you're gonna do is instead of going forward that like you know with a break I'm gonna go back for it so you are braiding it backwards and once you've done that what you're gonna do and this is really easy is start adding little chunks of hair to your section so I just added it to my left section right now what I'm gonna do is Scout that section and braid it under the second middle section okay just hold that with your left hand then grab your right section add some hair to that section and also braid it under the middle section this is really it now I'm gonna do the exact same thing all the way down so you can just watch me but I'll be doing the exact same thing so you just braid it under so we just grabbed in a section from the left adding it to the left section braiding it under so this might take you just you know if you tries to get it right and also like give your hands break I know I'm not certainly used to braiding in the back of my head so whenever I add a section and I braid under you know I just switch my hands so I can give a break to my left hand and then I would do the exact same thing you know through the other sites so just add a chunk of hair to this section braid under and then give a break to this hand then add a chunk of hair right under and do the same thing once you're sort of done braiding this whole section you're gonna bring you know all the hair to the front because we're gonna end this in a braid right so you just want to you know grab this sections and you're gonna end this with a reverse braid so the exact same thing you're braiding under and under the main middle section so again you can watch my tutorial on the reverse braid to get an idea of that it's actually very very easy it's the same thing like a regular braid but you're going backwards and then once you're at the bottom you just want to secure it whether the last day once the braid is secured you just want it to appear a little thicker and a little Messier so what I'm gonna start doing is grabbing out sections of the braid and slowly slowly pulling them on if you pull it out too quickly you might just completely ruin the braid especially if you have layers little chunks appear I'm gonna start sticking out so you just want to do it really carefully and slowly and you know if it's a little messy that's fine because that's exactly what Katniss has in the movie I hope you enjoyed this hairstyle definitely give it a try if it doesn't work the first time give it a second try if I can do it I know you can do it too so thank you so much for tuning in enjoy the movie if you're gonna watch it and let me know how you like this hairstyle I'll see you guys in the next tutorial bye like
