Please explain how to make molasses cookies

hey guys it's Kat and today I'm going to show you how to make molasses crinkle cookies these are super delicious and really simple so let's go over what you need you're going to need three fourths of a cup of softened vegetable shortening I just put it in a napkin but the other it is you're going to need one cup of packed light brown sugar you're going to need one egg which I've mix which I've mixed with one fourth of a cup of molasses that's just right in there you're going to need two and one-fourth cups of flour two teaspoons of baking soda half a teaspoon of cloves 1 teaspoon of ginger and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon I just put them in there I'm going to be making this in a food processor so it's a little easier but you can use whatever you want a stand mixer a hand mixer or just a whisk so let's get started okay so what we're going to do first is dump our vegetable shortening and our sugar into the food processor and just blend this route a minute until it's very light and fluffy because you want these to be nice and airy cookies okay so I mix this until it's light and fluffy as you can see and now we're just going to put the top take this thing out so the top is open and while you're keeping this on you're just going to add in your molasses and egg so just do okay that's combined and it's a lot darker now so it looks like this and then in the next step we're going to add in our dry ingredients ok so now get our wet ingredients are all combined we're just going to add this in you don't really need to do it gradually because it's a food processor and we'll just blend it real quick so just put that in there and I really sort of whist it together not bad so hop on this thing and then and i'll come back and this is all combined okay so i took my Jo and I just stuck in the fridge for about 15 minutes so the bevel shortening could set and now i'm just putting using a small ice cream scoop for cookie scoop and just putting it on my greased baking sheet a couple inches apart so that i'll hit each other because i hate that so to keep on doing this and then when you're done sprinkle a couple drops of water onto each cookie so you get that crinkled and crackled look okay so I filled out my baking sheet with the cookies and I sprinkled it with a couple drops of water and I'm just going to put it in a preheated 375-degree oven for 10 to 11 minutes okay so these are my finished plate of cookies they turned out really well and I'm so excited for these and to check out more recipes go to my channel and I really hope you enjoyed this video thanks bye
