and what's up everybody this is Norris Dante for once again and today I'm going to show you how i turn this sweater into a pair of drop drop sweat pants and you can try this at home with any old footage of my own so before getting started here's some of the items that you're going to need first a sweater most important with the sweater you want to make sure that you can get your legs to the horns if you can you don't have repair pants second you're going to need a coordinating thread elastic a power scissors and pins and most importantly a sewing machine if you don't want a sewing machine I think it cost less than like 10 bucks to go to the tailor tell me exactly what you want to get done and they'll be able to do it for you next up you want to take your elastic and go around your waist until you get to a comfortable position mark it and minus two inches that's where you're going to cut it you didn't want to take into overlap it about a quarter of an inch and stitch it down like this so next you're going to take your elastic and fold it in half and mark each end with the end of the sweater and pin it once you get to your sewing machine you're going to just stretch and slow it down okay so now with the neck opening I'm going to pin nobody's ready for the sewing machine so before I get started on sewing down there last thing I want to let you know that I pinned it down in four places just to evenly distribute the elastic so now we can begin to sew be sure to use a zig-zag stitch as well now about the close up the neck before getting started you want to change your zig-zag stitch to a straight stitch and also remember to remove the pinions before you get to them here we go were you all done this is how your last that you look and with the neck of the sweater you should just cut off the excess fabric so you won't bunch up underneath your clothes and I'm going to cut about a quarter inch from the seam on both sides so once you're done you got to turn your sweater excuse me your new sweatpants inside out then you're going to turn them upside down and boom your new drop crop sweatpants thanks for watching this tutorial I had a lot of fun showing you how to turn this dope sweater into some sweatpants remember to challenge your wardrobe subscribe to my youtube channel and also my blog norris delta for calm and you'll see a full blog post on how I actually started see you next week
