hey this name of the shepherd school today what we're gonna do is we're gonna make diaper rash ointment okay and you could go by diaper rash ointment but it's awful nice to be able to make your own you get to control what you put in it and if you do a lot of it actually being just a little bit cheaper alright so let's get to it alright to make our diaper cream instill pretty simple we've got coconut oil we're gonna use an ounce of this and the coconut oil is antiviral as well as an antifungal and antioxidant opera rash okay then we're going to use some olive oil okay and it's an anti bacterial as well as the native type accident and you want to use some some good quality olive oil you know the better you get the better your products gonna be some shea butter which is an anti-inflammatory as well as a moisturizer some cocoa butter we're going to use an ounce of that - antiseptic and it's also moisturizes so we're going to use an ounce each of those ingredients and then we're also going to use 1/2 1/2 ounce of beeswax beeswax is anti-inflammatory all the other stuff you can use on a nipple cream but we don't really want to use this on anything that it's going to come in contact with the baby simply because you've heard you can't use honey in an infant for a year because of botulism spores there really shouldn't be any buttons and force in the wax but it is a hive product it is a honey product and so we don't want this to be in the baby's mouth but the baby's butt is about as far as you can get from the mouth so we'll use 1/2 ounce of this and it'll kind of solidify it up a little bit now you can buy beeswax pearls this happens to be of half a chunk of an ounce beeswax a stick that I molded myself out of the beads we got from our hive and since I don't have the pearls I could grade it I probably should grade it but I'm just gonna dump it in there like it is and let it melt okay we're gonna melt that but then we're gonna add the other ingredients coconut butter is the easiest thing to get his mouth because it comes in a one ounce stick and you just got to push it out and get it started and then it's just like a little push up there's my house mushy butter and in the annals of my coconut oil and then we'll come back and I'll show you what else to do alright now that it's fully melted and mixed we're gonna put it over here in this pot now the wax is kind of hard to get up so be careful what you use alright and we're gonna do that because we have to whip it and I really don't want to use a hand whisk in there so we're just gonna pour it through here and let it cool and as it cools then we're gonna hit it with a blender handheld blender not a regular blender on high until it whips okay if it doesn't solidify you need add more wax either the beeswax or the cocoa butter because they're both solid at room temperature if it is too oily there are two solid you can add some more oil to make it a little more fluid okay so we're just gonna let it cool and we're gonna hit it with my in exact measurements have left me with a really good hand cream but not a very good diaper cream and so just like I said I'm gonna heat up or I am heating up a little bit more beeswax that I'm gonna add in you know just a little bit at a time here's our diaper rash cream and after we've let it solidify I probably overdid it with the beeswax a little bit but it's still you know warms up real nicely in your hands nice little paste cream right for the baby now the good thing about this recipe is because it didn't have any petroleum products in it it is a cloth diaper safe okay the only thing you need to know is make sure you don't let the baby get it in the mouth because of the beeswax and the the threat of botulism not that it's gonna be slacks it's not like eating honey and that you need to use it with it a year so there you go pretty simple little recipe until next time you go skiffs online wwt you go calm
