Please explain how to remove tulips after blooming : grow guru

hello I'm Donna Emery from Glover nursery in West Jordan Utah how do you remove tulips after they finished blooming well most of the time you don't have to if you have a reblooming kind of tulip like I plant that's the only kind I put in they come back year after year but if you have hybrid tulips tulips that only last one season and then aren't as good the next year you can dig them out any time their flowering has finished if you want to keep them for the next year though let all the foliage die back to brown or yellow before you dig them up but if I'm preparing this bed for summer flowers and I need to get rid of these yellow tulips here I use my favorite tool here the digging fork because it will go in much easier than a shovel and I loosen on all sides of the clump some little yellow see them there I don't want to kill so I'm going to have to be careful all right I think I've just about got it okay I can use my trowel for the rest of this this is a bit of a treasure hunt finding the bulbs after I do this okay keep digging haha okay here I have found one not too much the worse for wear if I want to replant this tulip I can take it right now and put it where I want it to go or here's another one I can store it for use next year this is Donna Emery from Glover nursery thanks for watching you
