greetings everyone this is going to be another fun gentleman's tutorial you're going to learn how to create a two-toned Eldridge or trinity knot tie by sewing together two ties a great place to start is to go into your closet and check for any sadly stained ties or maybe you have some out data ties that just aren't good enough anymore well let's update them and make them into something really cool so here are the Ordinaries you will need in order to complete this project if you need more time feel free to press pause and review the list for the first step choose the main tie and fold it in half pin the center mark and unfold the tie now pin one inch to the left of the first pin and then cut at the Newmark remove the pins and then set the main tie to the side next take the other end and we are going to use it as a measuring tool lay it on top of your accent tie and then pin it where it in using the measuring tape as your guide pin it six inches to the left of the first pin and cut here we are just adding enough length to tie the Eldridge knots so remove the pins and then open up the cut end of the accent tie and fold the interfacing down now flip the tie over and then take the main tie and open up the cut end as well now fold down the interfacing and place it on top of the accent tie next sew it with a half inch seam allowance you are now going to take the interfacing and sew it with a half inch seam allowance as well open up the seams and press it with an iron and for the final step we are going to sew the opening closed not one end of the thread and then you're going to start on one end of the tie by doing several stitches to secure your first stitch now we're going to use the blind hem stitch to sew the opening closed first you're going to tunnel the needle and when you tunnel it you won't be able to see it on either side of the fabric then do a quick catch stitch to the bottom fabric again tunnel the needle and do a quick catch stitch Tunnel and a quick catch stitch you are going to repeat this process until you get to the other end of the tie once you get to the other end you're going to do several stitches to secure it and you are finally complete this would be a unique tie for the groom or it would be a perfect gift for the groomsmen since it's the holiday season right now I made one just for my husband so he can tie his Eldridge knot or his trinity knot happy holidays and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas to get started on tying the Eldridge knot or the trinity knot please click on one of the images
