hi this is Megan with another strangers minute today I'm going to show you how to properly deadhead a daylily first thing you want to do is snap off any old blooms make sure you get the seed head off of it if you've got more buds left on it you don't want to cut the stalk off you just want to snap the end just like this leaving blends and buds still intact now if your daylily is fully bloomed out take a pair pruners come down to where the foliage is and just snip so that you can't see the stalks anymore and all you're left with is nice neat foliage and that's how you did hedid a lily
