Please explain how to tie an ascot or cravat into a ruche knot aka scrunchie knot

hi I'm Patrick Novotny this is my youtube channel and I'm doing how-to videos on every single necktie not known to man and I'm bringing them to you so if that's what you like please subscribe today I'm going to be doing the Ascot and I'm going to do about an open collared shirt and the version of this knot is called the scrunchie knot which is kind of lame but the formal name of this knot is called Roush a knot which I'd rather grow by rachet sounds way more classy and formal and sophisticated than scrunchie knot which only reminds me of what girls use in gymnastics to hold a herb back off the top of their head anyways I'm going to take you step by step to show you how to do the scrunchie not brush a knot all right let's take a closer look alright so here we are we're ready for the Ascot we're going to drape it over your neck usually you've got a few inches here I just wanted to be neat and tidy around my necks so just going to fold it down first and then put it around my neck alright so let's have a closer look we're going to have one end a little bit taller than the other or longer than the other we're going to take the long end cross it over the little end and really we're going to have this as a very loose knot it's going to come once around the back and then around the front again we want to kind of keep this big because that's our front loop and that's going to be our scrunchie look and and take the take the big end or the big end the part you're tying around up through the back of it or not and out the front and we're going to feed it down through this front loop doesn't have to be tight because hey it's an ascot it's all good we're tighten it up by pulling or cinch it up to your neck by pulling on the back end guess we're going to fluff that up grab your vest or your waistcoat so I'm sure you need one or it's going to look really funny if you're wearing one with without a vest so don't worry about the length because it's all going to get covered up by your best there we go that's how you tie the ruche a knot now you can take it to whatever day time formal wear if you need to up your snobbery and black tie or a bow tie is not going to cut it for you which are the ascot anyways I hope you enjoy my name is Patrick Novotny this is my youtube channel and I'm doing how-to videos on every single necktie not known to man and I'm bringing them to you so if that's what you like then please subscribe and thank you so much
