hi my name is autumn winterskill from knitting in the red and today we're going to talk about how to back stitch in knitting so this is a useful skill to know if you make a mistake somewhere in your knitted project so here i have my stitches on two needles and i want to undo these five stitches on my right needle because i made a mistake so i'm going to take the left needle and looking at the stitches on the right needle i'm going to look for the stitch or loop that's right under this first loop that i see on my right needle i'm going to put the left needle tip into the stitch below on the right needle and i'm going to pull it towards the left and as i do that this working yarn here is going to slide off of the right needle and out of the way so now that stitch that i had knitted is unknitted onto the left needle again so that it can be reworked again my name is autumn wintersgill from knitting in the red and you just learned how to back stitch in knitting you
