I want to show you how to change a string trimmer head we're going from this this one an efficient POS one to a newer speed feed one these are real convenient to have just pop those two tabs out easier once hooked up to the weapon weed whacker just push those two tabs out pull this out I'm going to go through a lab but feed the string right through that center piece right there twenty foot long piece and then you can just wind it up using this it's still in the weed whacker string trimmer and when you're done you just push it together so those two clips go in on each side make sure you a you're quick like I said it's easier when it's installed another in alright so let's begin I removed the whole head or the whole bottom piece of the string trimmer off the shaft of the weed dead string trimmer so let me show you in here on your guard you'll see there's a slot in that slot you'll keep turning it the shaft so you see a little slot to put your allen key in there see line it up yourself an allen key put it right in there what it's going to do it's going to hold the shaft tight so you can take this off the head now you want to follow the arrow on your guard your guards telling you to loosen it up you must turn it in that direction so on this one it's going to be right loose left tight so put that in and loosen it up your heads off easy is that I got apart clean it out grease it up check your bearings alright now we're going to install the wheel back there the trimmer head the speed feed and now we're going to pop these two tabs out there's one there one there spring-loaded tip pull the center piece out I'll show you how to feed that later you got these two pieces okay the directions say we have to install this bushing you get a few different knots and whatnot we're going to need for this particular trimmer we're going to need this one and this is pushing this bushing with the indentation side goes over this one sort of a spacer put that right there like so now that nut in there has to be pushed out so we pull that piece of the center piece out like so it comes out really easy there's two slots right there music screwdriver push it out place again don't bust it then you put this one in like so just read your instructions it will tell you what to uh how to install it like so until it's flush in there sticks out like so now two pieces here first piece goes in like that say a piece goes in like that now what we're going to do is get the allen key turn right over here get the allen key lock it again I know what I said this one's got reversed threads so it's righty loosey lefty tighty so turn it that way everything's all lined up make sure everything's lined up you just tighten it up now you just have to Snug it don't don't tighten it up too tight where you're distorting this and you have to buy a new one mount a lot do a nice tight snug alright now to install this give an arrow on the back of your shield if you're doing it on an echo you want to install it the way the direction the arrow is so so this twisting to the right so sole it upside down like that ok so left be facing up or actually left the L will be facing the bottom of the tremor and then install like so put those two clips in make sure their clip so we'll come on you don't have a quick run let's install the string cut yourself about a 20-foot section there's a side to goes right through the center or a slot that goes right through the center feed it through a halfway we're just meeting evilly agains wrap them around in the direction the trimmer is going to be spinning yeah like so okay see that slot right there the centre back there's a slot right there to insert that line it up so it's convenient for you GL's facing the bottom clip these in there you go that's a speed feed you can actually do it a little faster than I did it thanks for watching any questions please comment below
