hey guys this is bella star and today i'm going to be showing you how to make play-doh and this only takes five simple ingredients one of which is optional first you'll need flour all-purpose flour is probably the best choice i'm not sure if wheat flour will work next you'll need table salt i'm going to use a big container just to make it easier and oil i am using virgin oil um i don't think the kind really matters and water now the thing that is optional none of these are optional you have to use these to make your play-doh one thing that is optional though is food coloring now i make my own food coloring and um it's a blue color and so yes food coloring is optional if you don't use food coloring it's probably going to turn out to be a yellow color because of the oil it is it's not probably it is going to turn out to be yellow um so to start you're going to want to put a bit of water in here no i'm sorry you're going to want to put salt in here you're going to want to layer the flour over top a thin layer of salt so you don't want to see the flour you want to see the salt and it's going to be a thin layer just enough to cover the flour and should look like that now in person it'll be a little easier to tell which is the salt and which is the flour next you're going to take water and you're going to pour just a bit inside oh it has a bit of blue in it by the way i smelt blue so that's quite a bit of water add but i'm just going to add that for now next you're going to take oh you're going to take your oil i'm gonna take this and pour that much in there um now i'm not gonna do any exact measurements but for the flour you don't really have to have an exact amount just as much as you think you'll want to make and i'm going to take my hands and as you can see with the oil it is starting to become a yellowy color the slight tint of blue from that blue water we added sorry that's the container i'm just gonna add a bit more water not a lot and a bit more oil and i prefer my hands because other things are a little harder to mix with such as spoons okay so you're gonna want to do this not where it's too dry but where it's just enough to stick together and i'm sorry my cat is at the door huh he's gonna probably try and eat this play-doh which i'm not gonna let him scooch sorry boy okay so you're gonna do it just enough where kind of looks like this this is kind of how i want to feel squishy like play-doh right all right okay now your play-doh might feel a little oily at first that's because you're adding oil but if you let it sit in the fridge overnight for a while it might get better okay so next i'm holding with my oil hand next you're gonna take your food coloring i'm just gonna start by adding a bit i apologize for the shaky camera i'm actually holding this with my fist like that and start mixing so i made a red before and then there's another brown in the fridge but yeah if you don't want to be too oily leave it overnight in the fridge and it was too like liquidy add more flour if it's too dry um add a bit of water and a little bit of oil and you usually want to have more oil in your thing than water we're going to add a little more food coloring my cat's kind of annoying he's just a kitten though and you're just gonna keep on adding it until you have the color you like and until you have it for all your yucky yellow flower colors out of it um so this is a very easy way to make play-doh it lasts a while i've had this one for about a week now and it doesn't really harden keep it in a bag in the fridge when i'm not using it so it's going to kind of be like an aqua sky blue i don't know so your ending result when you're done mixing it together we'll look a really nice color like this but blue or whatever color you're choosing and make it a really nice color just keep on squishing around in your hands so i don't really want to board you you know the after look is for this color um so yes bye and i hope you enjoyed this video
