folks at home folks at home I just saw the most ridiculous commercial it's for a earwax removal tool that they sell on TV and you have to see this guy cleaning his ear with a what do you call it a q-tip it's ridiculous way do you see this guy use cotton swabs to clean or dry out here folks at home folks at home we're in the bass master kitchen here and today I'm gonna show you how to make scrapple for those of you who don't know what scrapple is this is what the package looks like it's a breakfast meat basically like bacon or pork roll but it's called scrapple it's really a Philly thing actually just notice it says Philly's favorite right there what is scrapple I honestly don't know from what I know it's like a hotdog it's like all the leftover parts from the pig that don't get used for whatever else okay so what you're gonna need is oil I'm gonna try vegetable oil and flour all right so I'm preheating some vegetable oil on a pan in medium heat I got some flour set aside and I'm gonna slice the scrapple and you always got to have your cute little reindeer pink snow flip things there yeah cool all right so I went ahead and slice the scrapple really thin thinner it is it's just more crispy and and Jimmy in LA this is especially for you Jimmy Owens beer belly in LA it's a restaurant bar in Koreatown and Brian Lee took me there great food there his chef is from Philly and he's hating on scrapple man I don't know what's up with that how can you hate on scrapple when you're from Philly I mean I'm not saying it's good for you but his darn good all right so we're gonna take a piece coat it in the flour and drop it in the oil and hopefully it doesn't explode and that's how we do it I like my scrapple extra crispy so the longer you fry it obviously the more crispy it's gonna be folks at home this is my first time ever cooking scrapple so hopefully this goes over well hopefully I don't burn down my kitchen and then I won't be a folks at home I'll be the folks at homeless or as timing goes I don't know how long to fry this stuff I'm just gonna wait till it looks ready I guess when it's browned and crispy looking and once it starts looking pretty browned you can go ahead and flip each piece over when you take these out you're gonna want to go ahead and put them on a plate with paper towels just to absorb that extra grease yucky all right make sure you let that cool off because it is very hot all right so that's a piece right there that I just broke off and we're gonna try it here goes very good really folks at home that's good stuff never said it was good for you but it's good stuff that's my justified for today cooking scrapple hope you liked it if you want to see me cook something else please don't let me know cuz I don't know how to cook anything take care
