hello again everybody I'm Jimmy the saint and welcome back to our survival evolved I'm in today's episode we're gonna take a look at breeding and hatching eggs now finally I've I've learned a bit more about it and I'm ready to make a video about it so the first thing you'll notice here I built a pen for these dinosaurs they're basically stuck inside there and that's this is the easiest way I found to do it I've had to build a several of them smooth this is pretty small for the delos I'm gonna I'm gonna do a DLO egg and a trike egg today umm the reason I have to put them in these pins like this is because they have to be set to wander and when they set to wander they'll run all over the place and you can lose them that way or more specifically the main problem is they get too far away from each other and when they get too far apart they're no longer mating and the mating starts over so I'll show you here enable wandering on my mail and enable wandering on my female this is how you do it with egg-laying animals it is different for mammals and I'll make a separate video for for non laying animals like the mammals like the gorillas and the monkeys and there's several others that don't lay eggs but I'll make a separate video about those basically they have to be set to wander and they'll you see they've got those hearts above their names now so they are mating even if they were to get too far away from each other the mating would stop and I have to start it over I'm gonna come in through here so I know they can't get away this way I just to get a little better view and you can kind of get close enough here and see the mating progress down at the bottom um it takes a little while but not too long I'll come back once she's laid that egg and it'll be a fertilized egg if they were if they were not doing this that would normally just lay you'd have a chance of them laying a regular egg that's not fertilized this is the only way to get a fertilized egg and a fertilized egg is what you need to hatch so we'll give them a few minutes to do their thing and we'll come back and revisit them in just a few minutes meanwhile while that's going on I want to try and do the same thing with these two Dilophosaurus over here I have a male and a female I'm just going to set them to wander one thing you want to keep in mind you do want to make sure they have plenty of food on hand during this process I know my Triceratops have plenty of food but my delos actually do not have that much on them right now I'm gonna run in here and grab a little bit of food I keep it here on my copy here not much but you just want to make sure they have food otherwise the mating process can still you can get reset if they don't have food on them so let's see just do a split here you can have half oh so he's not ready to mate yet I've got to wait a little while for them she's not ready to mate I made them a couple of days ago and it takes a long time for it to reset depending on the dinosaur let's see how the trike is laid the egg okay so let's go first thing I want to do is disable their wandering solicits still and there's the egg here we go so you can see it is it starts losing its incubating right now out here in the Sun depending on the species of animal they like different temperatures some of them like it warmer temperature some of them like it colder temperatures I'm going to pick this egg up just so I can give it to a more controlled environment because out here in the wild the temperatures fluctuate you know the temperatures vary so it's easier for me plus it's easier to raise the dinosaur once it hatches in a little more controlled environment so I'm going to take it inside my inside my home here and I'm going to place it next to the fire like I said some time and you want to drop don't hit use if you hit use you will eat it I found that out by mistake so just drop it there and I always like to do it next to the fire because like I said some dinosaurs depending on the species like it warmer some of them like it colder if we left it outside right there in the rain it would have started to lose health as it was cold it would have been too cold out there right now it is still incubating and in a little while it'll hatch and I'll show you the next step all right this egg is almost ready to hatch and like I said that it the temperatures there it goes and the baby trike his hatch so I get to name it um I'm just going to give it trike 2.0 for now so I know you know that it was a second-generation so now I need berries and you got to feed them a lot when they are babies like that they eat a ton of food carnivores are really hard you know the plant eaters herbivores are not that difficult a few stacks of berries is plenty for most but the carnivores are just voracious eaters and you have really got to stay on top of your meat supplies because if they run out of food they will starve and die pretty quickly alright so I'm just going to give him a stack of a hundred of red is it basically you have to sit here and you have to babysit it at first I mean really you do let's no other way of really thinking about it other than you have to babysit this dinosaur for a first few minutes here because it's carry capacity is really low so it can't even you can't even add all the berries you've got on its inventory right away you just kind of have to wait a few minutes as it some weight increases as it grows its capacity to hold more and basically what you're waiting for is this health meter to fill up and how whatever level the dinosaur is is basically going to determine how long it takes to grow up so this one has a thousand and fifty total health points that it can achieve once it achieves that it will be fully grown and in the meantime you just kind of have to wait until it hits that number and you kind of have to keep an eye on it and keep it well-fed as the main thing just keep plenty of food on as you can see it's eating really fast it's already ate and it's already eight thirty five berries or so so this short little time right here they eat really fast so you really want to keep them full and I like to just sit here on their inventory for the first couple of minutes just to make sure that I can fill it up with you know plenty of food we're almost to where I'll be once I get four stacks on this guy out it'll be more than enough to tame him or to let him grow up all right there we go so yeah it's got to fill up its its its hunger meter its food meter is gradually going up as it eats oh just constantly eats until it feel gets that full and as you can see he's already grown up a little bit here it is still a baby but you'll notice it start to get bigger and bigger and bigger on one thing about eggs when they hatch they're automatically set to wander so keep that in mind if you're if it's in an open area it will start to wander around and they can get into some trouble that way so I will generally let it get a little bit bigger and then I'll stop it I'll set it to is a juvenile now I'll disable the wandering for now this guy's fine we'll let him wander around in here for a bit and we'll check on him in just a couple minutes once he gets a little bigger and go from there all right the trike here is an adolescent and it's ate about half the food I gave it so far its health is almost run halfway full food meters around halfway full so it's a it's a growth is around half of where it'll be when it's done its max so making good progress just got to keep it out of the food I may have to add a little bit more later just keep an eye on it I've disabled its wandering now so it's just gonna sit still but uh I'll come back and check on it here in a couple more minutes all right she's almost ready yeah there she goes all right she has finished growing up fully grown now level 49 which is pretty good um I ended up adding some more berries to it and but we're done she's got a full health now as you can see the food meter is full so you got pretty decent stats but the stats are based off of the parents and there's a little randomness to it because I've bred like three off of the same set two or three office same set of parents and I don't always get the same results um there is a little bit of randomness to it but for the most part it's a combination of levels that you're the base levels of the of the mother and father dinosaur and then there's a little randomness added to it oh she's already laid an egg Wow I'll pick that up it's not fertilized so I'll just thought in my preserving bin here to keep it with the rest of them I make some kettle with them later but that's it guys if you haven't already please subscribe to the channel I post a new video every day if you have any comments or questions about a breeding leave them down in the comments section below hit the thumbs up button if you liked this video we'll see you on the next one thanks so much
