Please explain how to replace the factory jbl woofer in a toyota 4runner

hey guys if today's from the install Bay we have this Toyota 4runner and it's got a factory JBL system in it and a blown subwoofer we're going to show you how to change it so a lot of you guys out there have these late model Toyota forerunners with this JBL synthesis system in it and most of them if not all of them have a blown symbol for this located right here in the side panel so what we're going to do today is go ahead and swap it out with a pioneer so we're going to take you through the steps that it's going to require to do that it's pretty intensive so hang on here we go Hey you Hey and these are real fun goes like this in the panel then you got to get in there and remove it like that remove the seat though kind of work your hands behind there slowly until you eventually can use all right so we have the factory woofer right here the screws are going to be behind this so you got to kind of rub this stuff off to get to them and we have a torques all right so we got the woofer out of the car what we want to do now is see what unload it is so we know what we'll try to put in it so we're going to take our digital multimeter here we're going to put it on the ohm symbol which is right here take our two test leads come over here we see it's a 2 ohm on that side and magically enough it's a 2 ohm on that side so we know we're going to need a dual 2-ohm woofer now the other thing we want to do is find out which way which is positive which is negative now you could use something as simple as a 9-volt but we're going to use our coal PT 9 a we want to switch it to on we're going to put it online take our two test leads hook them up start ticking got it backwards all right so now we know we got it right so in that case that's positive all right so we got this cool pioneer I b-flat woofer that we're going to use to replace this beat-up JBL factory turd this is a dual voice coil as well it just so happens to be a dual 2-ohm so we have dual two on either side so let's get it in the car and see how she fits okay so we're going to test fit it around a little bit make sure that there's no gaps anywhere in these holes all right we're going to have to drill some new holes because these aren't going to line up and we're going to put some foam behind it but other than that it's pretty much a perfect fit and all right so next we want to mark our screw holes so go ahead and center it up take a pick tool we'll go ahead and drill the holes now we'll hook up to over-read was positive in black wasn't positive now we'll screw or woofer in put your finger where you're going to drill so you can jam your finger instead of the woofer at this point now we just want to do a little test bump make sure it's working before we go ahead and put the whole panel back in as you can see the panels and fun to get out nothing sucks worse than having to take the panel back off because you didn't test bump it let's go ahead and do that all right so the test bump was a success that means we have a functioning subwoofer again all as well we're going to go ahead and and do everything backwards put it all back together so you guys don't need to stick around for that so this brings us to the end of the show what do you say Fernando thank you for watching you guys can find us on Facebook YouTube and Instagram that's right as always subscribe if you liked it and even if you don't we'll see you next time bye so why you guys out there have these link model so why are you guys out there have these late model [ __ ] a man bear
