well I think I've got a pretty good idea hey it's PG see our turf hope you're doing good and hey I know I'm throwing a lot of info at you one time but hang on pay attention I'm about to let the cat out of the bag [Applause] [Applause] all right so when we started this my sprayer nozzle assembly was inside the Academy membership and you know some folks just didn't want to pay for the membership just to get that sprayer nozzle assembly and I get it I understand I probably wouldn't do it either the Academy is for cool-season turf fescue in particular but if you got a Bermuda yard st. Augustine Georgia you name you might want to better spray your yard a heck of a lot faster than you're doing it right now so I've been listening paying attention to you I'm gonna make it happen for you there's a typical commercial spray system you'd have a pump you'd have a motor you'd have a hose and reel system you have the gun that you actually apply the product with you got two big old tanks with that system right there's about four grand and I bought that years ago it probably cost more than that now and the lawn care company that is just getting started or trying to get into spraying or just starting off you know if you fit in that category hey man I was there it was difficult or even impossible I couldn't buy a $4,000 spray system it took me a long time to be able to do that simplified that and turned that $4,000 spray system into a $300 spray system since day one my sprayer nozzle assembly has been four Academy members only and starting today that's no longer true all right so about that sprayer nozzle assembly now you have to have a battery-powered backpack sprayer for it to function properly they'll pump type sprayer it's not gonna work sorry if you have a battery power sprayer already get the sprayer nozzle assembly most of these are a standard thread on the end it should screw right on if it don't you simply go to the hardware store get you a connector and make it work now the reason I chose the sprayers Plus is it's a real good quality sprayer for a real good price and then I made the sprayer nozzle assembly fit this in so it just screws right on so today I'm running 2 4 gallon model and you know that in my 4 gallon model we can cover 16,000 square feet now if you do buy that sprayer nozzle assembly I'm gonna send you a video and it's gonna teach you in detail how to calibrate that thing matter of fact I've already calibrated it for you I'm just going to show you how I did it ok so you know I got my test plot back air and the test plot has already had round one of our company's application schedule and so it's greened up it's coming to life well I just want to try something out so what I got right here is aerate and microgreen so let's talk about them a little bit and you've heard us talk about the air rate now it's gonna help to relieve some compaction I'm gonna help drive those roots down in the ground get that turf grass going for the Sun and it's got some potassium in it now I'm a big fan of potassium that's really good for stress relief also adds a little burst of color now here's the part that most lawn care programs are lacking the micronutrients things like magnesium and sulfur and copper Magne manganese and zinc calcium is another big one I'm a big fan of calcium so what I'm doing today is I got my 12,000 square foot test plot out there and I just want to try it out I'm gonna mix the micro green and I'm gonna throw to aerate in air with it and we're gonna see what happens and maybe do a review on it in a couple of weeks so remember as you're mixing you want to be stirring at the same time now the micro green you can run four to eight ounces but I'm only gonna run the 4 ounce rate because I got a little secret I'm putting in the tank with it and be careful when you're mixing this stuff wear your gloves be careful around your sidewalks and your house and things like at your patio furniture because this is a humate based product they all are so it's black it's black black and if you get it home your driveway you better want to you might want to wash that stuff off really quick and talking about that right quick while all of you guys that already have a spray or nozzle assembly and you guys and gals are gonna pick one up here soon I've got a trim nozzle I've been working on and I've just about perfected it and I'm just about to let it go and what that's going to do is it's going to allow you to edge out your property so that when you're using the sprayer nozzle assembly you don't get any a little bit of over drift or overspray on anything that you don't want it to get on now next is air rate product and your it's anywhere from six to nine ounces per thousand I will run the six ounce rates and on twelve thousand square foot that should be 72 ounces now here's where this application is gonna be a little different you know the air rate is more or less a soil application the microgreens more or less a fort foliar application all right well that little bit of potash it's in that aerate I want it inside my grass so I'm gonna use my natural adjuvant to do that now the first thing I got to do before I use natural adjuvant is I gotta check my pH it's a little high all right there we go all right so I've got my pH then to around five give it a stir and gonna add my adjuvant now the adjuvant let's talk about that natural adjuvant all right it's a natural adjuvant this is this is one of my secrets to getting these products inside the plant so that the plant can actually use them basically as soon as it touches the plant Oh within 30 minutes or so so this is a pint and you know it covers one acre right if you break that down per thousand square foot that means an ounce will cover about 2500 square feet so it's 16 ounces in in this pint right here now I've heard you guys asking about bigger bottles or a larger quantity size and so I've been working on that hard for you I've already got the labels printed out there inside my house right here I got the labels made and the little sticker goes on the top and they're all ready for a one gallon container and two and a half gallon jugs now that two and a half gallon jug it's gonna come to per case so it makes it a five-gallon total hey while we're talking about larger quantities you know these are GES the biostimulant pack and sol activator pack and so on you've been getting four products in a one gallon jug well if you go to the website GCI turf academy.com you can now get this stuff in a five gallon option meaning you'll get a case of RG s meaning it'll be two two and a half gallon jugs of RGS five-gallon total you can do the same thing for aerate dethatch microgreen you name it you can get it in five all right so I got my PhD opt and we're gonna stir it up and add my so I got 12,000 square foot out there that comes up to about five ounces a Naturalizer and check this out I know you're probably screaming at the phone right now saying hey Pete Pete what are you doing you can't drop the pH on the air raid what are you thinking man well I've got a question for you did you always listen to your mama and daddy when you were growing up okay so let's get serious again I'm just being funny but I did actually do it here's the deal that stuff's done at your own risk right you you take those chances if you go doing things that this label says don't do you know I've always like to see what happens when you do that so I'm not at all in any way recommending you drop their 8ph you leave it alone do it like you're supposed to do it I'm just doing a little test here and see what happens that's all all right let's go spray I'm gonna do this for you in real time if you look up in the corner of the screen there's gonna be a little stopwatch up there and that way you can time it and you can watch and see I quick I spray this 12,000 square foot now another thing I'm gonna do is I'm gonna speed it up a little bit to keep the video kind of short but the stopwatch will be in real time with me walking first thing I'm gonna do them will create a border pass and I'm gonna go all the way around my edges and then I'm gonna line up and start making my straight passes almost as if I'm mowing well there you go pretty quick right pretty accurate now Kadim ii members check this out pay attention don't get confused that spot of grass back here that's my test plot I test on it I try things out on it that spot of grass right there's my yard you need to stay on schedule with that and you got the spreadsheet already you got the schedule so don't get confused now it doesn't mean you can't mess around and play with a little bit of these products because that's one of the reasons I chose these is because there's really no harm and over applying them you might have to mow a little bit more than you want to but that's another story your nozzle assembly the battery sprayer these products they'll be down in the description if you want to get on board so once you get your dirt right you start having a really nice yard right so hey if you're new to the channel and you want to learn more about doing all this man go to GCI turf Academy comm and you can sign up for the membership and we send you a schedule and a program and got the fertilizer in there and all kind of things that to get your yard really looking good this is a high end high quality lawn care program for mainly tall fescue we're actually getting ready put the warm season turf program out there so you'll have that you guys are Kentucky bluegrass I have spoke with several experts on that type turf and they have informed me that my program will work perfectly on the Kentucky bluegrass so that's that's an option for you so you don't forget to hit that subscribe button the more subscribers I see that's what motivates me to keep on doing this kind of stuff hey get your dirt right check you later and hey remember we want to take care of this equipment so you make sure you rinse it out with clean water and flush it out with clean water to store it before your next application hey don't take my word for it on that sprayer nozzle assembly go on the website look at some of them reviews there leaving
