hi i'm dan rainenke with unknown media now today i'm going to show you how to diffuse light from work lights so you have your work light go ahead and fire it up now as you can see a work light gives off some really harsh light and that's due to the fact that it's basically just throwing the light out of this metal enclosure that's around it but now the metal is a very good tool in using to diffuse the light now what you're going to want to do is take your diffusion and just set it over the metal itself what you're going to want to do is kind of stretch it out so you don't get too many wrinkles in the diffusion itself but not only that keep it off of the bulb because it you may run into some burning with some different types of diffusion then from there all you're going to do is simply take some clothes pins and just clip them to the light itself now what this is going to do is hold the diffusion in place so when you're trying to set your light you're not going to have to worry about holding the diffusion the whole time notice it gives off a much softer light now now one thing that you need to be aware of is the kind of diffusion that you use now opportunities are really endless for this i'm using an actual professional grade light grid but i've seen people use anything from socks to pantyhose to to t-shirts but again you just need to be very careful as to not let the light actually burn through the diffusion because you don't want to risk a fire and that is basically how you're going to diffuse a work light i'm dan renike take your best shot
