Please explain how to knit the tunic stitch

I'm going to demonstrate another one of my favorite stitches it's called the tunic stitch it's another one of those simple stitches that can be used on either side it's really easy and here we go the first row is knit one which I always slip purl one knit one purl one continue doing this until you get to the end of the row and you must have an even number of stitches so it's knit purl knit purl just keep doing that until you get to the end of the row here we are the last four stitches is knit purl knit purl turn the work over and the second row is knit every stitch so you just start knitting all the way across till you get to the end of the row here we are knitting the last four stitches turn the work around and repeat the first row which is knit one purl one knit one purl one and these two rows make up the stitch first row you knit one purl one the second row you knit every stitch it's really easy it's really simple here's a sample of this stitch that I knitted earlier this is side 1 this is side 2 you can see they're different but they're both usable side one side two you can use either side that you like it's really an easy stitch and makes for a nice little pattern
