my name is peng and in this video i'm going to be doing a balayage on naturally textured hair my client came in with pre-flat ironed hair already because this is how she always style it with balayaging naturally textured hair i discuss with the client in the consult how they normally style their hair this will help me create a balayage that is wearable for natural or flat ironed and curled hair sometimes what the client brings in as inspiration isn't necessarily what they go home with just because of this factor for example if they normally wear their hair straight but bring in a color inspiration photo of a curled balayage you're going to help choose a balayage that will complement her straight style the balayage sections i am using is called stardust and i learned this from gaiting's class it's a great technique to create a subtle and dimensional balayage now i chose this sectioning because this is her first time going light in her first balayage so it's so exciting i am using saran wrap for incubation her previous color was a burgundy that she got from another salon faded to a level six our goal is an eight-dimensional nine so i'm really working the lightener into her hair to get full saturation for promising results after this full balayage application i am going to let it process for about 25 to 45 minutes depending on how fast her hair lifts after rinsing out the liner i'm going to work in pravana's beige toner as we are looking for a neutral warm result the beige is going to neutralize the brassy underlining pigment from the level 8 but keeping it warm as it is going to completely cover the level 9 underlying pigment and will create a honey caramel tone which is what we are looking for after the toner has been rinsed i will finish off with olaplex number two as i did use the olaplex in the lightener i put moroccan oil in her hair and blow drying with kenra blow dry thermal protectant spray i love this spray because it speeds up blow drying time and attains frizzes i'm just going to round brush her hair and i apologize i couldn't see what my camera was filming as i was using my harness and there you have it honey blonde and caramel balayage thank you so much for watching i hope that you were able to take something from this video to help those of you to have hopes that it doesn't matter what your hair type is that you can also have a balayage and that it helps some of you have confidence in yourselves to accept and learn how to balayage all hair types
