you okay we have to do a light bulb terrarium today and this is our light bulb it's a little vanity fall and the main thing about doing this is really getting this little black ceramic piece out and the element without breaking the ball and this is I have to say it's a little bit difficult I don't do a lot of these I kind of prefer the bigger terrariums with regular glass bottles and jars and sort of thing but these are kind of fun to do in there you need your unusual there's a lot of them out there and so I do that from time to time but there's always a chance I'm going to break the ball so I'm just going to be extra careful hopefully I could get this air plant in there when i'm done and this airplane looks a little bit big I don't want to trim it back so I'm going to just try to make it work and and so here we go now the main tool for this really is a needle nose plier and and then now there's some other tools you can see here there's also these three tools here I got a hardware store and they're probably going to be the main tools I use for this particular terrarium there's some other tools you see here these are hand fashioned from kitchen utensils and they work great for the bigger terrariums but these probably not going to work today because this is such a small entryway into the glass of the terrarium so we're going to start slowly carefully trying to remove that he's there and on what I do basically is just try to squeeze it and get it start start to get loose and actually that was a lot easier than I expected maybe they didn't make this one so well so now I'm going to just try to break that element in there I think I did that it partially broken and I just I'm just hoping I won't break the ball I'm just basically trying to skewer it out I've got that the element is groping in there now and just gently kind of leaving it out here and there you don't loose I've got the Glasgow in the bowl but no you definitely don't want to sweep afterwards this one I actually you know I well I have a big bulb that was working with them when i first started doing this and it was oh boy it's a little nerve-wracking because they they're not cheap this one's a you can get bulbs that are used because it doesn't matter if it works not you nobody judges if it's so if you break it it's probably going to not you know well you don't really use it as it's very amamiya sleep just come out of trying to get it almost there there's always that last piece got it okay I just want to get any wire that's in there out you know just came out that inner edge and just so you have more space that it worked we could get the plant in and any of your other elements that's this we have should look it's a little dinged up there because the aluminum aluminum out screw product here is a little bit soft but you can easily spend that in and straighten it out me to advise all right now I'm not going to put the sander or pebbles in yet i'm going to put the plant in first because i did such a big plant person to the ball so I just basically put it into the hole and slowly push it in there I'm a tight fit there we go we got that in there now he's in this position it I'm going to use this tool here this point it seems to me like that would probably be best for this I didn't wash out the bulb here it might be a good idea to do that sometimes to get the dust out but the reason why didn't is because I did one once and I did that and it didn't dry properly and when that happened it it moved it up I got mold in there and I just don't want to take a chance of that again but if you watch this out you get a lot of water in there it'll take a long time to dry out another good tool you know I find that commercially made tools unless they're I mean I actually have never even bothered to area for because I I just prefer to use things that I can find around the house it seems to me like that's the best way to go and certainly as far as the portability goes we know if you're trying to save some money and you that you wanted to have a nice hobby that relax with it seems to me like that's the way to go no here i am using a pen when I couldn't use this not a bottom a couple bucks for this can't use it but I could use a pen I mean it just makes a lot more sense to me to try to use tools that don't cost a lot of money especially if they work better than the tools that do so so the tote that the plant was pretty good in there you know fairly well positioned he got kind of squished go again so he might spread out after your bid and so now i'm gonna i think i think what i want to do here is some pebbles in I was thinking about using sand but i'm going to show you how to put a little feet on this so that it will it will stand up little rubber feet so if i put pebbles in and we'll give it some ballast it'll give it weight and it might look more unique and everything so but the thing is this is such a small hole going in so you have to make sure that there's definitely isn't it you know you don't want to just try shoving him in without making sure they fit because you don't want to get them stuck in the to the mouth of the entryway you want to make sure that that would definitely fit in there and that was one problem i had one day i got i had several doing this and i had several levels deadstock so just be careful that they definitely in the fit and sometimes they look like they're to the fit but that they don't then they get stuff in the entryway and you're sitting there trying to get them out it's kind of hard to do so it's see this one just did that there we go i got you went ahead and way but i was just looking for small pebbles here so i'm going to just do this first to try to get some alliston i don't know yet if I were to do sand or not okay so i got the bulb and filled with the pebbles the way I wanted yeah I just wanted to have some ballast as i said i wanted to have some weight and so the plant is nicely nestled in there and got some nice couples in there and now what I need to do is I need to put something on it to hold it so it could stand up if I don't do that obviously it'll just roll around so what I have is you could get these usually it's a hardware store you can they're little plastic stick on or rubber stick on feet tiny ones they're half round very small that be going about maybe a quarter inch in diameter and I'm going to want to put four on the bottom and so now I don't want to turn my terrarium upside down I probably could but these are self sticking so I just as you said pulled it off there and they're pretty sticky but you don't want to get your fingers on them and you just want to the sticky part anyways and you just want to stick it on the bottom and i would say probably four positioned like that it's square so they you know so now she holds up the ball these are really fun to make again I don't know if you've seen it by other videos but you know in the beginning whenever you do something that's always takes a minute to get used to it you know it's not going to happen by the way but as they say practice makes perfect perfect and once you get to that point where you're you can just go through them and do them and if not have a problem then it will be really actually a lot of fun I get a lot of enjoyment out of doing these and also on when you're putting the feet on before you press it really hard on to the ball you can adjust them you can slide them to where you want let's see all that is so there we go no position in there and there we go so that's a nice little project it's fun makes a great conversation piece and you can get the food for the ear plants they don't require soil you can get food for them give that to them according to the instructions you should be able to get them wherever you buy your hair flat problem they have all different kinds of different colors some have flowers they are living and they are really neat avoid putting water in here except a little tiny bit from time to time for the plant but you know if you put water in here mold will develop and it will just make a mess and everything so I hope you enjoyed this and
