hello I'm back this time I am gonna show you your own hair for 550 paracord hammer oh pretty simple to make be forewarned 550 paracord this amount that I use was quite expensive maybe close to $100 but this is actually a Mac I made for my son mine is rather than 18 wide 22 i but yeah looking up and holding me up what I'm gonna need for this project is a carabiner I'm gonna use this cheap one is for demonstration purposes only this is not the size you would use to hold up any kind of weight carabiner and again for demonstration purposes I've got 40 foot of paracord for my Cruz at 22 22 lines or pairs of lines I would use closer to 70 or even 80 foot of paracord because of all the weaving and stuff loom and I made myself and this one this one was for my son's if the hammock I showed you it's 18 nails somewhere between 1 and 1/2 no more than 2 inches you start getting to 2 inches and then you got to really be wound and then something to use to thread the line through ok so oh and a bushcraft hat do not forget he will be any kind of bush guys set up you're gonna have the nails down towards you your carabiner however this is not the right size this is just for demonstration it's gonna go up here and use the paddock okay you're gonna leave about four foot of paracord off to the side Oh up into the carabineer that's it you come down and I'm gonna use let's say for the four center ones five Center ones so you can come down in your house side one you're doing it with a bigger obviously for a bigger side you know all the way to the end of a loom and you're gonna come up make sure when you wrap around these nails then it goes the same way every time okay you want it to be tight enough to stay in place obviously but not too tight yeah on the same direction back is ten feet already so you're going to go through this stuff pretty quick extra extra and that's basically the start okay now I'm gonna get my threader and try to reposition the camera so you guys can see basically it's a simple weave to start with now remember there's in my the ones for adults you want to go 22 nails out about an inch and a half space apart so you get 22 pairs of lines come down and grab the 22 lines on your hammock 22 makes it wide enough with a little bit of space so we'll go over the 18 that I did for my son it's great for a 14 year old place that's so good for a 15 year old so next because I have the lines pretty much straight up and down like this you want to take the one in the back on each line come forward with it on the same side to pull them all up in and I'm doing this by hand right now but that's what your rudder is for and it creates that crisscross there you see the crisscross that I made between the two lines here then you're going to take your ends chase this in heat it through here that nice and tight make it up there and then this end which has a lot more she's gonna go through here and your two loose ends are gonna crisp rocks then you pull it tight and repeat this time you're gonna pull the back one up and front up the other one and like I said it's easy to do with a small number with your hands you're gonna want a separator for when you're gonna do a full-size hammock push it up tight pull these nice and tight and again cross it through this one criss cross that's why I only need about four foot to pull it tight and repeat the last one this one and we'll hook down get that bottom one push it tight and we're through now with a typical Navy crew they they do about three or four of these before you start getting into the split and I'll show you that a second we'll do split in the next one you can see how tight these lines are getting so remember when you put them on the first time especially 22 of them make sure they're there taunt enough to be able to see the separation of the lines but not so tight that you're going to pull your nailed out when you when you thread these through we got three of them there now the tricky part now you're gonna skip when you go through instead of doing the outside ones you're going to pull the bottom up on the second one in and then the second to the last one in and skip that one all right then you're gonna feed your lines through here he's to free and yet leads to freedom and then take this one they're way more than what I need to know that and I tighten it up and then same there you're gonna skip these two actually that comes to the end in this case essentially what you have is a mini paracord is pretty easy to tie it off the ends and your little stay and then you just tie this off here and then not burn the ends and let you have left is a carabiner true basically that's what it's gonna look like on a micro scale you're gonna have one in the middle your end loops so you're gonna loops secondary you one in the middle secondary loop and loop that our case would meet five and that'll be even now with a stick or any kind of a lot I'll show you tie it off in the middle burn it 550 else takes no it's got one - oops - three or like 12 or 13 that's what it looks like the carabiner I got on here is rated for 750 pounds I think runnings you know tractor supply anyplace good Home Depot I'm sure Amazon with Lowe's they're pretty cheap the most expensive part of training is the impaired corner one with the seven strands in the middle well will 550 pounds per chord so you've got nothing to worry about once you get your crew done you're going to want the same number of holes that you use and you're gonna slide them through that hole and this keep some separated and it keeps your hammock spread out then I go again so I'll thread the rest of those let my dog in so that they come out the other side when the loop I'll get those all done what you're gonna do the hook-up does hammock get your hammock lined up like that and you're gonna take each one of these and you're gonna thread it through here in this case I'm gonna top the bottom this one each knot top the bottom top to bottom at the bottom all the way along the end and you're going to use this and you're going to thread it through the knotted part not a part here going into the bottom this one's going into the bottom ready through next shot went through the bottom thread it through anyone next bottom bottom through all the way now that crew pull it tight and the holes keep this from sliding off where you threaded to the the hammock through keeps the hammock from fast light enough there you go that's how you do your ends she's ready to hang up what I did for quartz the tire out of the tree is three braids with a pair cord that's 1,500 pounds so yeah you're not gonna fall it's gonna stretch though I remember that so make it high enough off the ground where you're gonna stretch down to a decent sitting position it's the one thing that works there it is that's the hammock packs up pretty good I mean for somebody who doesn't do a lot of walking anymore of the woods you throw that in a bag and bring it out in Kyllo anywhere now the thing about making the hammock itself there's a lot of videos out there on how to make a net that's basically what you're doing but remember when you make this hammock the length of the line you start out with has to be 30% more than what you think the finished finished length will be so for example I have about six foot so I went with an even ten foot paracord and when I got done with the hammock it went down to about six and a half to seven feet long let me show you how it's done again demonstration purposes I'm not making hang your hammock today but you want to find find the middle of your 10-foot piece put the two ends together and keep it pinched and tight slide it down keep it tight slide it down write it down there's a middle on a straight pull usually hanging up or even another string stretched out you're gonna take them and you're just gonna loop it around just like I did with that thing that how's it and pull it through yeah they're about the same and you don't want to space these out that enough where you'd be able to work with them I put mine about three inches apart the length I'm just gonna do tool now just to go over the basics of the net well three the one I'll do it's really and then pull it through two three inches apart one more keep them all the same take yeah basicnet making take the two inner ones I'm up a simple knot pulling through pulling through tighten it up try to do the same distance on the next one you'll even open that like this you can move it up and down the string where you need it to go so we want this one right about alright then you skip down another way i measured by a hands length where to make the next lap not so my hands length away either these two together make these two in the middle hands like the way by these two together length away these two together and continue that and you'll get your hammock pattern your diamond pattern I'm like I said for big adult people 22 was good for me I'm a good size guy 18 actually maybe even last for like 12 to 15 16 year old obviously depending on our big yard and something you want to make or how wide you want to make it paracord because they're going to shrink by 30% because of these knot which is gonna give you about six and a half to seven feet extra plenty of wiggle room alright well I hope that does it I hope I made it simple but they're pretty easy to make it and there's nothing saying you have to use paracord it's just I felt comfortable with 550 paracord you know it's been true as tested it's a it's you know hold me up it'll hold my son up it'll hold anybody outside I don't want to fall up and I'm the biggest person in the family so if it holds me up it'll hold anybody up that's the rule of thumb anyway so anyway thanks for watching thanks for the support you don't have one get yourself a bushcraft hat and get out there and build something he's an ISTAT and his electorate election thing you got to be pretty stuck on yourself if you think you're gonna go out and do what he did I'm not going to tell you either way which way I'm gonna vote and cuz I don't like either one of them so it would be honest with ya I'm not even sure yet which way I'm gonna vote or who I'm gonna vote for but if I did know I certainly wouldn't share it with YouTube it's not my place to try to tell people what to do
