hi there this is fixed it it's my main Matt's 40th birthday and these parents have sent out a lovely invitation with a picture of him as a youngster with his rabbit and the card says one of these is 40 can you guess which one now the obvious thing would be to send a card to map but I thought I'd send one to the rabbit on the grounds that there's no way map can be 40 Matt he's a Doctor Who fan so I'm doing him a great Dalek card so I was just gonna write any happy birthday mr. rabbit but decided that that wasn't quite enough so what I've decided to do is to use some gold leaf and here's the gold leaf which is an incredibly delicate stuff I've got myself some gold leaf size and I've drawn out the letters in pencil just roughly and then I'm using this piece of glass where you could use plastic this round ended so what I'm going to do is I'm going to draw around the pencil lines then you leave that roughly for 20-30 minutes so I'm just dipping the tip of the Blas rodding and then applying it a little bit and I also marks obviously making sure I cover all the pencil marks it doesn't matter too much if you apply too much on one area because what you can do is you can just carry going to the next character is a glass rod we'll just pick it up okay so I'll leave that to dry and now I'll apply the gold so started applying the gold leaf and it's quite tricky I've got various specialist bushes and stuff and what I'm doing is I'm putting on the sheets and then using the brush tips and push it around and also some tweezers to pull off some of the bigger boots let's get the brush just gently brush that down and then basically I'm going to carry on like this and then I also have a much rougher brush that I've been using and a smaller brush to then manipulate some of the small business and left over so that the L covers onto the gold sizing and doesn't leave any gaps and also it's good for usually not a section like this so I can reapply it elsewhere I'm just going to carry on and do the rest of the card the other thing that's really good for finishing off is just to use your finger which is make the circular motions and as you can see it basically splits the gold around the edges and smoothness the edges and it kind of burnished is it at the same time because we've been going on girl I hope you liked the video please consider sharing it and give it the thumbs up and have you got a card to do for somebody this one's actually a 24 karat gold thanks for watching right
