hi lovelies it's emmy i am here to do a follow-up video to my emmy eats vermont video where i'll put a link down below lovely candy sent me a package of king arthur very berry scone mix and so she sent this to me and this is the follow-up video on how to make it and my tasting it so yeah let's go check it out start by emptying the contents of the mix into a big bowl next add your half a teaspoon of salt and give that a little mix next add your cubed butter and use your fork to work into the flour until you have a coarse crumb set the flour mixture aside and crack an egg into your milk and use your fork to mix it all together pour your milk and egg mixture over your flour and butter mixture and stir gently until everything comes together then use a large spoon and scoop the batter into eight equal pieces onto a parchment lined baking sheet or in this case a silicone sheet bake in a 400 degree oven for 14 to 16 minutes until golden brown so we're back and here's the scone look at this look at this gorgeous thing you could reach into the box and grab it and you'd get that so i'm impressed with that it looks just like it it's advertised so i baked it on a non-stick silpat and it was nice and golden brown for my oven it was about 16 minutes and inside you have little berry bits in there i'm not sure for currants or blueberries or what but let's go ahead and taste it here we go itadakimasu um so good smells like blueberries it's very reminiscent of a blueberry muffin with a slightly different texture it's not as sweet as a muffin that i think you would normally have in the united states but more of like a biscuit something like almost like a cheese biscuit if you ever have if you go to like red lobster and have those cheese biscuits very similar texture but this is sweet they're buttery with a little bit of you can taste a hint of that salt deuces if you can't find this mix in your neighborhood scones are really simple and really easy to put together just some baking powder i believe baking powder salt butter flour and if you want you know frozen blueberries or you can actually omit these so yeah i definitely recommend making these on your own if you can't find the mix they're delicious and thank you kenny so much for sharing this with me i don't think i probably would have ever tried this without you sending it to me so and they were delicious thank you so much and thank you guys for watching and i'll see you in my next video have you heard of this this and this chew wine if you're interested you can make an easy glaze as well just use one cup of confectioners sugar two tablespoons of cream one and a half teaspoon of vanilla mix that all together and then you get a lovely lovely easy glaze you just drizzle it on top and then you've got perfect scones
