hey everybody welcome to the creativity cave I'm so excited to stay up with you today because I have some gorgeous fall cards and I've kind of done them in two styles so you can see the simple fall card for that would be perfect for a man and if you want it for a women woman you can see I added a bunch of sparkles to it with my clear wink of Stella but if you left the sparkles off it would be perfect for a man now this card kind of takes fall but with a more springy look and this uses again some pieces from the this month paper pumpkin kit so our kit this month is called layered leaves and it creates eight boxes and eight gift cards which I think are so so cute and they're really easy to create and what I love about paper pumpkin is that the possibilities certainly don't end with the projects that come with the kit and one of the things I love providing my customers with our alternative ideas so when you subscribe with paper pumpkin through me you get 15 to 20 extra ideas on how to use your kit sometimes they use the items and the kit and sometimes they use like what I've done and added my own card stock but I have combined that with some of the things from the kit so let's get started on these cards because they really are easy I've got some great tips to help you with this too I noticed that this big leaf when I stamp it on my piercing mat it came out a lot better and I think part of that reason is because it I have it on kind of a block that doesn't quite fit but I didn't want to use a big giant block so that's just me all right now on my first card we're gonna do the more masculine one first I've got my cardstock pieces here and all that I'm going to do is take this big lovely stamp and ink it up in some crumb cake ink and stamp it on my crumb cake card stock I'm gonna stamp it both full-strength and stamped off so let me show you what that looks like I'm gonna take and let's see start and I love random stamping because it's easy first of all so these are my full strength leaves that I'm going on my card and look at how beautiful these images are I really like this big leaf stamp and then what I'm gonna do is take and stamp off some of this ink and then stamp it on my card and you can see that lighter shade really fills out the background of my card which I just love so I'm just gonna kind of go all over like I said fill that extra space up and then there we go oh one more spot sorry boom isn't that beautiful it's really easy now I also like how the stamp has all these little dots in it that kind of make it look like it's been spritzed a little because you know I'm a lover of spritzing alright so next I'm going to take and adhere this to a layer of chocolate chip cardstock I find that I love using early espresso but my chocolate chip doesn't always get the love so I thought I would bring it out for this card I'll put these two layers together now all the dimensions for all of this are in my blog you can check that out look at this I found a really really really old package of linen thread when I was cleaning out my office yesterday so I got to use this up I found one a couple months ago two is kind of funny alright I'm going to wrap this around my card a couple of times and then like about here and then I'll tie a little bow on this side more so it's sort of Criss crosses and then this the sentiment is just going to be stamped on a couple of on one circle I'll show you I like the stamp set because it has a really beautiful thank you as well as a little thank-you saying we're gonna use the thank-you saying on another card or the next card because we're making two cards today guys cuz these ones are so easy okay so I've got my little bow tied next I'm going to take some scraps of stock which I did have sitting here but now they're gone crumb cake and of sorry would you believe my more organized drawers are actually preventing me from finding what I'm looking for okay so I'm gonna stamp off this little leaf like that and then stamp the stamp the sentiment in Cajun craze which just says thank you and then I'll punch so pretty I love this mixed font too is it it's so classy okay so I'll take my three quarter inch punch and would you even believe this will fit in a three quarter inch punch I was actually a little surprised I didn't think it was gonna make it and of course that fell and then I'll punch a second punch with my one inch circle and then I'll layer the two together kind of offset from one another and then because I kind of like that look like that and then I'll just pop that up on my card with a dimensional and again I think this is so pretty oh but I'm missing the best part here's the best part so there's these gorgeous gold foil leaves that have been laser-cut they're stickers which kind of makes them even more awesome so here you go let me grab one little piece out of there excellent so I'm sorry I forgot I was adding this to my card I love these stickers they're so pretty all right and then I'll put this on now like I said if you want this to be for more of a masculine recipient you can leave it just like this it's a little um I think it's a little plain but I like it like that like I like that it's kind of a simple card and I tend to keep my masks you and cards fairly simple just because you know that's kind of how it is but if you wanted it to be for someone else who might appreciate a little sparkle you can spritz your let's say I'm gonna pop these up to pop my whole layer up you can spritz your clear wink of Stella all over the card background and I'll show you the difference here in just one second Oh gracious I love that gold foil leaf though it's so pretty now if you want to make lots of these leaves all that you need to do is get the colorful seasons bundle so I will I will be able to make more leaves because there's a die in the colorful seasons they're actually called the seasonal layers framelits but the bundle is with the stamp set as colorful seasons and they're gorgeous so anyway but the paper pumpkin kit this month had a whole bunch in there so you can actually recreate a similar card if you don't have paper pumpkin but it's kind of Awesome now again don't forget if you subscribe with me you get all these extra ideas each month which I love okay now let's make this card also very simple and kind of a little bit similar to the one I just made but I changed it up just a little bit so I'm going to start with kind of a springier palette of colors which I like I think it's fun the kit comes with this gorgeous water colored leaf die-cut which is really pretty now I'm going to quick clean my stamp because we were just using crumb cake ink so let me get this cleaned off quickly scrub and then I'm going to stamp this on my card also stamped off I did the first one um not stamped off and let's just say like when I was making this card let's just say it was a little bright we wanted it settle okay so I just stamped one and then I'll do another down here and then we are good to go with that oops I think I didn't quite get but then I'm going to take that gorgeous die-cut leaf now what's kind of cool about this kit is it comes with a whole bunch of leaves to make up the projects there's all these beautiful leaves and then there's this gorgeous water colored one I love this so I'll take and use this leaf I'm going to stamp one sentiment on here so I'm going to kind of position my leaf as I'd like it on my card and I'm gonna stamp my sentiment I'm also going to add a little bit of gold metallic thread and I love this thread because it adds just a little bit of sparkle to something without it being kind of too glitzy ER in your face if you know what I mean so the sentiment says be filled with thanks each day and I think that's such a beautiful sentiment okay now I'm gonna pick this up and then I'm gonna take my gold thread and I'm kind of spreading my four fingers out because I want big loops cuz that's a big leaf okay and then I'll trim this quick then under my card here I'm gonna put just a couple of touches of fast fuse so that this thread can kind of stick to them someplace and now I'm just sticking my thread down do you like how scientifically done that was I like to also have my ends stuck down if I can just so that they don't like stick out like a bad hair day you know what I mean just saying okay so there's that then I'll pop up my leaf and then I'll add my gold leaves to this those gold foil leaves are just so gorgeous and I love but they're stickers because that makes me happy it's also very easy to use that way okay so I'll get my stuff on there wonderful now we're gonna take now your kit comes with 18 gold leaves and like I said if you want more all you have to do is get that framelit set so I'll just kind of delicately place my leaf there and I'll take one more and place it over here and then we have ourselves a beautiful card beginning okay now as you may have noticed I did spritz this of course so I'm gonna flick my marker this is Calypso coral that looks pretty good I don't want to go too crazy you can see all the spritzing and I think that really adds to it now this card I think might actually be really pretty with the spritzing with my clear wink of Stella so I'll take that you just need something to smack it against so I've got my my pen here and I'm gonna use that to smack my clear wink of Stella on my card and when I do that I'm just getting little spritzes and you might not see it right there well I guess you can kind of see it but when you bring it up it's like oh the shimmer so pretty so pretty okay so I'll have that and then I'm gonna attach it now here this is funny cuz when I was getting ready to shoot this video I cut my cardstock like three times cuz I kept cutting it wrong I have and it's in the directions on my blog but I have just a teensy bit larger piece of crumb cake under here I just wanted like the littlest sliver of cardstock to stick out so there isn't really a measurement I can't remember what I wrote in my directions but like a smidge smaller is really what it is so anyway there's that now I'm gonna finish this up with one final touch and that is my gold natural trim or my natural gold trim either way I don't know what I did with my roll of ribbon I couldn't have put it away that would be madness figures it's so rare that I do that I mean put things away before I shoot the video it's usually well after this is why my office is never clean well that's not the only reason okay well I've got my link the ribbon I'll tie this in a little bow now if you find yourself to be Bo impaired don't feel like you have to tie a bow a knot is truly just fine but if you would like to watch me work my magic watch I won't I get both but I know you guys like watching me tie bows oh here we go this one I think is gonna turn out at all I did for part of this is this ribbon ties awesome it's really easy to work with and that makes bow tine certainly easier when you have ribbon that really works it does make a difference okay and then finally of course we'll pop this layer up alright well I hope you guys
