Please explain how to keep thermos lunches hotter

hi guys now that the cooler weather is here I find myself packing my kids more warm school lunches but they've been recording that by the time they eat it it's just kind of lukewarm so I discovered a little trick where if you put boiling water into the thermos as you're making their lunch just let it heat up nicely I always put the lid on and when the lunch is made you just simply dump out the hot water and fill it up and it has actually kept my kids lunches nice and hot they'd reported back to me that it's much much hotter but I was curious how much hotter so I did a little experiment what I did is I took two plates of pasta with the exact amount of passed on it and I boiled up the first batch put it in a non heated thermos for four hours after four hours I took the temperature and the temperature was 45 degrees Celsius which is 113 degrees Fahrenheit then I did it again I filled the thermos up with boiling water while I made the pasta I drain the pasta put it in for four hours took the temperature and the temperature was 54 degrees Celsius or 129 degrees Fahrenheit so that's an almost 10 degrees difference in Celsius which I thought was pretty substantial for keeping their food warm so yes in fact this little trick does work so if your little ones are complaining that lunches are a little bit lukewarm when they're eating them fill the thermos off with boiling water before you put the food in it does work wonders if you have any parenting tips or tricks that you'd like to share please leave them in the comment or shoot me an email I always love to hear of little tricks like this that make our lives that much easier as always thanks for watching be sure to subscribe to my channel and like my video and I hope you have a great day
