all right so I've seen the stilt spirit costume on YouTube and wanted to know how to build it and there was no tutorial so I just kind of went to the nearest Hobby Lobby bought a bunch of crap and ended up building my own I will give you a quick rundown of how I built mine I was gonna originally record the whole thing but this costume took me over 20 hours to build so I'm just gonna give you a quick how-to you can buy a basic white mask from Hobby Lobby and then you need to get all the different kind of colors and materials you want anywhere from Browns to Gray's blacks you can buy the moss collection stuff and just hot glue it on there tools you're going to need you need lots of zip ties I made the mask I just bought some material that kind of looks like what colors you want glue it to the side all the way around so that you can get your head inside for the back piece I took an old vest to attach to started from there and then I started with foam it lifted up so you can see the foam and what I did was took three layers one two three staggered them back on top of each other zip tied them together and when you look at it from the top and see those three layers I glued all the different stuff to it something you're gonna want to do once you're all done in the front you want to have stuff hanging from the front so it doesn't look like they can just see down between your legs and all the stuff that I bought I took like a knife and scratch they're really good and made it look like it was old or rustic for the back legs you can go online I'll put a link down below to the video where I made stilts you just make your own stilts it'll take about an hour if you have the tools here's what the stilts look like once you get the basic stilt on the inside then you screw some shoes in there to walk on take some short piece of PVC pipe kind of chunk out heat them up and bend them it's all in the video for the how to build stilts but basically with that and on the side down there I take pink stuff is this insulation you can just get it at Menards cut the shapes you want the shape of the leg screw it into the wood when your stilt and then you wrap it with you can buy this foam it's like a it's a topper for like a mattress that you like cheap like 12 bucks for big one then just wrap it with your different materials colors you want to go for I even bought some hair Hobby Lobby I just end up making two of those identical for the front legs no one's tough the longest you can take some basic basic crutches so I started with and the basic brush goes from down there is right right here have another piece of insulation shape it in there connected to the crutch and then do the same thing rapidly foam and put your material on it here you can see the crotches laid out and have it in shape the boy put the material on it as for the top part you look down in here see the handle the crutch what you hold on - I took some two by twos and you can zip tie them at first to the crutch to get your installation on and get it started then you can actually use self-tapping screws and tap screw it into the crush so that's more stable I even put this piece here that rest my armpit on which when you're actually walking it's better to keep just your hands out in front of you and not rest on them for balance some tips for attaching the fabric and material like on the edges here I took zip ties and I took a sharp object and poked a hole all the way through and then ran the zip tie through because the fabric alone is hard to attach by itself this is a finished product with me and my girlfriend at the casino for Halloween this is the only video I have right now me in the costume this week I'm going to take it out and try to scare some trick-or-treaters so you should probably subscribe so you get the notification when I upload the videos it's on let's get some money for you sure Jeff he wants a picture honey what he wants a picture yeah thank you [Applause]
