Please explain how to remove htv with iron and tweezers - easy trick!

hey guys it's Nancy with better life blog and I have got a really useful trick for you today if you've ever made a boo-boo with your heat transfer vinyl and you can see I have a boo-boo here on this project I made this actually a while ago back in Christmas time this is from my Christmas bundle it's a super cute design but guess what I over heated it and it got messed up so I'm gonna show you guys how to easily remove vinyl when you've made a boo-boo so here's what you're gonna need you're going to need your home iron and I actually have this heated already oh it's heating you just want to put it on like your cotton level or max and then you're just going to need a pair of tweezers so it's pretty hot right now and when you pop on if you're watching this would you say hello I love talking to you guys so what you're gonna do is if you if you if you've got a shirt you can put the shirt you're gonna put the shirt on your iron like you're dressing a child like you're dressing a small child hey Missy how's it going happy Tuesday I have this flower sack towel and so what I'm going to do is you want to heat the vinyl from the back side and this is the side where the glue is so you're heating it from the side with the glue okay and you just you just want to be really careful not to burn yourself because this is a little bit tricky to hold and then you want to get your pair of tweezers and then what you want to do is once this starts heating up you're going to be able to smell it first of all I can kind of smell the glue coming off and you can actually start to remove I don't know if you guys can see this really well you can actually start to just peel off the vinyl because it's been because the glue is kind of melting and that cool so a lot of times if you make a mistake this is just a really quick trip trick scuse me to preserve the garment or project that you're using and to be able to fix it now some people have said to me you know what I did this and it worked except it left some residue from the glue and if that happens what you can do is you can use you can use like what's it called googan or something goog on the stuff that's supposed to help take off goof off or goo gone I would use that with a little bit of caution I have never tried it myself so full disclaimer I've never actually tried that but I have heard that it can you can use it you can help her it can remove some of the rezident the residual glue that's on there adhesive and then you can just wash it and it'll be fine anybody has tried that would you let me know because I have not had that issue so I haven't needed to try it but if you have tried it and you've done it would you let us know whether it's successful or not that would be awesome so here I am again just I just got my iron right here super easy trick and I hope that this helps somebody who had a boo-boo with their project and you just were so upset because you left a piece of vinyl on there so that's it how are you guys this Tuesday how's it going I have seen people doing fall and Christmas projects hey Robin happy Tuesday it feels like this week should already be over halfway over but it's not yeah so I'm just removing vinyl after a failed project so that I can reuse this piece of towel again hey Joanne you are so welcome I am hoping that some people will find it useful and if you guys would do me a favor if you find this useful would you share it and some of your crafting groups with some of your crafting buddies because I think that a lot of those people would also appreciate it and they could learn something new and it might save them a few bucks and maybe a little bit of sanity it does feel like a long week and you know what next week is we've got the fourth of July and it's like right in the middle of the week and honestly like that's just so awkward for it to be in the middle of the week like that because I don't know it's just it's weird timing like I always like it when it's like on a Monday or something so that or you know it just feels like you can do more you could take the kids out I mean they don't have schools so that wouldn't be a problem but you know people have worked the next day almost done here guys again the iron is hot it's on max you just have to it just takes a little bit of stamina because you kind of got to hold it steady for a while you can take breaks if you need to so you don't burn yourself you know what I feel like maybe this is stopped heating but anyways you guys get the idea I hope you found this helpful and if you would share it please and yeah let me know if anybody has tried the other trick or if you have tried this trick let me know if it works if you've also tried the other trick where you use like Dugan as residual to remove the residual adhesive look this is all the stuff that I took off not cool all right well thank you guys I will try to do another project a little bit later this evening so try to catch me and yeah I'll talk to you guys soon bye
