Please explain how to double cast on:thumb/index/double stranded long tail x ribbing

Hi everybody, today we are going to learn another way to start knitting it's called "double cast on" it is the best way to start pullovers, sweaters etc It seems difficult but it isn't if you practice a little bit. Now, we start by making the first loop ( stitch) and we need yarn and a needle But first we 'll see how to calculate le length of the yarn we are going to use. If we suppose to need yarn of this length, we take 3 times this length. So, we take the double part of the yarn, this way... We use ( as we did to the simple cast on ) the index and thumb fingers of our left hand This way to start cast on it's a two steps cast on Step 1: First of all we put this way our : yarn...around our thumb finger We insert the needle like this... from bottom to top we yarn over...as you can see you've created a loop we pass this loop around the needle... and we stretch the ends of our yarn to secure Step 2 We take the yarn with our index finger like this... we use the thumb finger over to keep in tension the yarn we insert the needle like this from bottom to top... close just a little bit the index finger to create a kind of hook yarn over by using the long tail of the yarn... as you can see we have created another loop here we pass this loop over the needle and we stretch the yarn, not much but enough... Once again... Step 1 wrap the yarn around your thumb finger like this....the double part of the yarn... insert the needle between the thumb and the yarn... from bottom to top... keep the yarn with the other fingers and your palm Take the long tail of the yarn and yarn over take the loop it's been created and pass it around the needle Step 2: Wrap the yarn with the index finger and put the thumb on the yarn to keep it in tension... Insert the needle from bottom to top....close a little bit the index finger... to create a kind of hook Take the long tail of the yarn and yarn over Pass the loop over the needle... and stretch As you can see on the needle we have created couples of stitches...
