hi I'm Kelli Ellis of Kelli Ellis interiors in this video I'm going to show you different ways that you can decorate a turn around staircase the key to a turn around staircase is the fact that it turns so you really want to emphasize that turn and that movement and there's several ways you can do that if you want to focus on the walls one way that it's done here is with molding and you'll notice that it also turns it bends with the turn of the walls but it also gets slimmer and really highlights the fact that with the staircase and it has that detail so think how do I emphasize the turn another way to do that that I've done in the past and really enjoy is a room divider is it usually generally three or four panels and you separate the panel's find something that matches your decor it's either carved or it's painted or it's wood it can be fabric which is even better because you can change it to match the core separate the panels and then hang those right up the staircase again it emphasizes the turn of the stairway and the wall so it's more of an impact you're creating a wow factor by highlighting that turn another way is to do lighting up lighting and it looks great it's a wall sconce on the bottom of the stairs and it's a beautiful effect and it's just simply placed probably every three or four stairs pointing up on the wall so not only do you get the lightest staircase for safety but you're also getting another feature to highlight the turn so remember think of the turn when you're decorating your staircase again I'm Kelly Ellis and that was how to decorate a turn around staircase if you have any questions go ahead and reach out to me at Kelli Ellis comm
