right now i'm going to show you how you can pair your your cell phone into your new pioneer stereo receiver so my pioneer receiver that i'm using for my demo right here is a model avic x 940 bt this is a brand new 2012 model but if you also have the z140bh the 3324 hundred and 4400 the sequence and the programming that i'm gonna show you right now with this model is gonna be the same this will also apply to some of the older models namely the ones made in the last two years and also the models that use the cd btb 200 which is the expansion add-on bluetooth hub to a pioneer receiver so with that said let's start pairing this phone to this unit but technically inept i'm gonna connect this thingy to that thingy now here is my phone what you need to do is if you have an iphone just do exactly as i do if you have an android app or something like that it's going to be very similar just refer to your manual how to get it to your settings on the iphone it's a little silver box you want to make sure right here first that your bluetooth setting is on and underneath it it's going to save devices i already have the first one is a kw nt3 hd that is my car stereo now it says pioneer navi not connected and another one on the bottom that says not paired so that is what we're going to fix right now now on the home screen of the pioneer receiver it's going to look pretty much like this what you need to do is just hit the settings button you're going to look for this icon which says bluetooth settings you're going to hit that next thing you're going to hit registration that's going to enable you to start a new pairing just leave your phone some someplace close usually around a foot or less to the receiver so that way they can talk to each other hey how you doing hi and i work with you today all right so now nearby device list so what to say register for mobile phone we're not going to do select specific devices we don't need to do because on the third it says martin's iphone that's me i'm martin as you know is my phone hit that and that says please follow the instructions on your mobile phone now it's got this screen it says enter your pin the pin for the pioneer is one one one one one one one one hit pair lay it down you might have to refresh it on your um on your phone now it says connected registration successful connection established device is set as bluetooth audio device martin's iphone okay cool so now just go to home hit phone let's just see something pick up my phone all right i'm gonna call the office there you go it's working nice and that sucker disconnected that's what you want to see and right up right once you first make a successful pair successful pair you can actually import all your contacts right onto here so you can do all the you know the keypad and stuff and functions right from the new unit right there your contacts if you already had it done you would use that as the icon to get to it call home you'd have to obviously have it set as home on your phone which i'm sure you like most people do um there's your keypad so i'll just call from the stereo now instead of using the phone it's a ringing but no one's here that's how you do it folks how to pair your phone easy you
