I invited a couple of friends over for a weekend brunch love brunch just don't like the price tag and the weight what I do love is gathering my friends and talking smack so today we're making a breakfast pizza with sliced new potatoes sausage and goat cheese and a simple salad with a red wine vinaigrette it's brunch my way hey guys welcome to at Taylor's table I'm Taylor and today we're going to be making brunch brunch okay so I have a love-hate relationship with brunch I love it because it brings me and my friends together I don't like it because it's expensive for eggs and toast and like two slices of bacon today we're gonna be making breakfast pizza which incorporates all of my favorite breakfast ingredients and we're going to be Perry met with just a simple salad so the ingredient list is pretty simple you're gonna want to have some sweet or spicy Italian sausage some onions that we're gonna caramelize with some garlic we're gonna get pizza dough sour cream for our base layer some rosemary some baby new potatoes you don't want to use russets there a little bit too crumbly they're not going to hold its shape cuz we're gonna slice the it's really really thin so that they can bake really fast for the cheese I using some cheb ray I hope I pronounced that right goat cheese it adds a little bit of Tang it's gonna help break up some of the richness at the sausage the sour cream potatoes are going to bring in it's a really nice touch let's go start cooking so we're gonna take about three links of sweet sausage we're gonna pre cook them they're gonna cook in the oven when we put them all together with the pizza but I kinda just want to get a head start and I don't want to make it stick this is just gonna do it staying for about 12 minutes but in the meantime I am going to take half of a sliced onion sliced really really thin and then a clove garlic also menced add in some sliced onions and we're going to just salt it and some freshly ground black pepper we're gonna let this just saute for about 15 minutes just so that the onions can soften a little bit because I'm doing double duty it's gonna further chop up the sausage so how about I baby many new potatoes that are washed clean dry we're gonna slice them really oh my god it's purple that's so cool wow that's perp I've never seen a purple potato you're gonna want to slice these as thinly as you can so think as if you're making potato chips yeah that then turns all right so I have any dough Thank dust it with a little bit of flour and I also have my pan right that's with a little bit of flour so pretty much what you want to do is you want to make sure your Joe it's as best as it can to your pan alright guys so we just shaped our pizza dough don't worry if it tears a little bit just keep working in and filling in the holes it's not that big of a deal I'm just gonna tap my dough its gonna prevent any air pockets from forming like a big bubble so I'm gonna take a layer of sour cream and I'm just gonna spread it and smoothie our first layer half a cup two maybe three fourths of a cup potato time you're going to want to shingle these potatoes so they are going to overlap a little bit it's going to salt and pepper the potatoes all right so next we're gonna put in our onions next we add the sausage I put the sausage just gonna play with a paper napkin just so we can drain the grease rosemary I love the smell of rosemary you can also use time I think that would be really nice as well I'm just going to sprinkle like maybe half a sprig of this all right you were to sprinkle some goat cheese on the top be liberal all right so we're gonna put the pizza in the oven at 500 degrees as high as it will go actually just stop at 500 500 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes that's how fast this pizza cooks even with potatoes all right so 10 to 12 minutes we're gonna let this baked do its thing and we're going to be making a simple salad in the meantime alright guys so we're gonna take the pizza out of the oven it's been about 12 minutes and detects if it's done you can just lift up the crust it's golden brown you're good to go so we have our pizza we have a simple salad with butter lettuce we have our vinaigrette with red wine vinegar a little bit of mustard you have some drinks and we're gonna just get started on eating thanks so much for watching and I'll see you next time on another episode of at Taylor's table hi guys all right ladies Cheers live in life and Lockley Angeles having brunch together you
