in today's tutorial I'll be making
this six pointed double-sided snowflake for work you need a bowl of yarn and a crochet
hook begin the work with a chain of six one two three four five six and join the chain in the
round by making a slip stitch into the first chain stitch the foundation ring is ready now
begin the first round chain one two bring up the yarn and into the foundation ring single
crochet 11 one two three four five six seven eight nine ten and the last single crochet
eleven now complete the first round by making a slip stitch into the first chain stitch the
first round is ready now begin the second one chain three to bring of the yarn and double
crochet into the next stage of previous round into the next single crochet then chain two one
two and into the last chain stage work a 3-chain picot 4 picot chain 3 more two three and slip
into the fourth chain stitch away from the hook tico is ready then chain one more and double crochet into the next two
stitches of previous round one and double crochet into the next stage
till now continue and make the same so chain two then work at picot chain 3 more and
slip into the fourth chain stitch away from the hook then chain 1 and double crochet into
the next two stitches of previous round 1 and till continue and work the same stitch sequence to
the end of this round there should be six pecos in this round here I made the last six pickle then
chained one and now complete the second round by making a slip stitch into the third chain stitch
one till three the second round is ready and we can begin the next third round work a front
post single crochet stitch insert the hook under the chain that was made on the beginning
of previous round like this and single crochet through take the working yarn pull up a loop then
yarn over and pull through till front post single crochet is ready then chain two you to bring
up the yarn one tail and now front post treble crochet working under the post of the following
double yarn over the hook two times to work a treble insert the hook from the front to the
back then around the post of a double crochet stitch take the working yarn and pull up a loop
through then treble crochet like you'd normally would repeat yarn over and pull through two three
times two and the last time three then continue chain 4 for the chain space one two three four and
into the last chain stitch work a 3 chain picot 4 picot chain 3 more one two three and slip into the
fourth chain stitch away from the hook the picot is ready continue chain 3 1 2 3 and now front post
treble crochet 2 together working around the posts of the next doubles yarn over twice begin the
first treble insert the hook under the post of the next double stage of previous round pull up
a loop through then yarn over and pull through to repeat twice do not complete the stage hold
two loops on the hook and work the second front post treble around the post of the next double
crochet stitch work it like your world until you have three loops on the hook now yarn over and
pull through three loops to complete the Dupree stage here what we have now let's continue this
round repeat the same so chain 4 for the chain space one two three four then work at eco into
the last chain stitch chain three for a picot and slip into the fourth chain stitch away from
the hook then chain three one two three and front post treble crochet 2 together begin the first
front post under the post of the next double of previous round work it like you would and stop
when you have two loops on the hook then begin the second front post travel under the post of
the next double stitch when you have three loops on the hook now yarn over and pull through three
loops at once now continue and crochet the same way till the end of this round by the end of there
should be a six edge chain spaces with a pickle let's complete round three together so after the
picot I made a three chain stitches now complete the round by making a slip stitch into the first
front post treble crochet of the round the third round is ready this is the front of our work and
this is the back which also looks very nice now let's continue and begin the next fourth round
chain three to bring up the yarn one two three and into the last chain stage work a 3-chain picot
4 picot chain 3 more one two three and slip into the fourth chain stitch away from the hook the
pker is ready then continue chain three one two three and at this point I'll begin crochet in
the first segment of the snowflake cell chain three one two three and work a two double crochet
cluster into the fourth chain stitch away from the hook begin the first double into the fourth chain
stitch work until you have two loops on the hook then begin the second double into the same chain
stage and stop when you have three loops on the hook then yarn over and pull through three to
complete the cluster and above this cluster make a 3-chain picot 4 picot chain three one two three
and work a slip stitch into the cluster insert the hook in three loops like this take the working
yarn pull up a loop through then pull this loop through the loop on your hook Pico is ready then
chain three one two three and slip into the same chain stitch that the cluster is made into the
first part of the first segment is ready we need to continue crochet two more so chain three one
two three and into the last chain stitch work the exact same cluster stitch element like we've just
made so chain three more then work a cluster of two doubles into the fourth chain stitch away from
the hook begin the first double stop when you have two your loops on the hook then work the second
double into the same chain stage and stop when you have three loops on the hook then yarn over
and pull through three to complete the cluster then make a 3-chain picot chain 3 and slip into
the cluster insert the hook on three loops like this pull up a loop then pull this loop through
the loop on your hook Pico is ready then chain three one two three and slip into the same chain
stitch that the cluster is made into the second part of this first snowflakes segment is ready
now to continue crochet the last third part of the same segment make a slip stitch into each
of next 3 chain stitches so slip into the next chain stitch one then into the next one two
and the third slip stage work into the next chain stage which is busy with the first cluster
element three now repeat the same chain three one two three work a cluster of two
doubles into the same chain stage one two you'll then yarn over and pull through three
and work at the go chain 3 and slip into the cluster stage insert the hook in three loops and
slip into then continue chain three and work a slip stitch into the chain stage that the cluster
is coming out of now let's stop for a moment and take a look at our first segment it is not quite
ready to complete this first segment make a slip stitch into each of next 2 chain stitches one and
two then slip into the next stitch that's one that is busy with a picot and here work a 3-chain picot
chain 3 and slip into the same chain stage and now the first segment of our snowflake is ready now
continue crocheting this fourth round so now chain 4 for the chain space one two three four and into
the last chain stitch work a larger picot a four chain picot that is completed by a single crochet
so chain 4 and single crochet into the fifth chain stitch away from the hook here one two three four
five single crochet into this fifth chain stage the Pico is ready now continue chain three more
for the chain space 1 2 3 and double crochet into the next decreased age you remember it as front
post treble crochet 2 together stitch and now on top of this double I'm going to crochet the exact
same segment like this 1 so let me just start the second segment with you and then you can continue
by yourself following the same instructions as for the first one so on top of this double work at
picot chain 3 and slip into the double insert the hook into loops and slip into then chain 3
1 2 3 and into the last chain stitch work the same part or a cluster element of our segment so
chain 3 more 1 2 3 and work a two double crochet cluster into the fourth chain stitch away from the
hook 1 & 2 yarn over pull through 3 and above this cluster work a 3-chain picot chain 3 and slip into
the cluster stitch then chain 3 and slip into the same chain stitch that the cluster is made into
the first part of the second segment is ready now continue and complete the second segment following
the same instructions as for the first segment and then crochet 4 more keep working till the end
of this round here I made 6 segments or raised of my snowflake and then made the last chain space
with the picot after a picot I chained a3 and now to complete round four make a slip stitch into
the third chain stage that is on the beginning of this round as you can see this chain stage
is busy with the picot Justins there the hook into the chain stitch pull up a loop through and
then pull this loop through the loop on your hook slip stitch is made and our beautiful snowflake
is ready now you can cut up the yarn and hide old tails here this is the front of our snowflake it
has six beautiful Ray's made of cluster stitches the same beautiful it looks from the back
let's see on this side we'll have raised center part with Pecos for demonstration
I made the exact same snowflake using simple cotton thread of white color it
came up a bit smaller and not so fancy hope you liked this project and thank
