hi I'm marina Souza instructor of a jeweled wedding cake at craftsy.com in my new course we are going to be making lots of little brooches and sparkly blingy things I'm just going to show you a really quick way to make them and be able to use them on a cupcake to make it the perfect little adornment so using white chocolate white coating chocolate you can get it at regular craft stores sometimes they're called candy melts you just want to put it in a piping bag that you can squeeze out of and I am using some button mold so we've got some buttons and brooches in all different shapes and sizes and the texture that comes out on these is a lot of fun and the perfect accent to any cupcake so I'm kind of under filling these just slightly and then you take your mold and just tap it until you see it filling in all the little crevices you can let this set or you can make it a little bit faster and pop it in the refrigerator just for a few minutes just to get it set up I have pre done some of these and so they just really pop out very easily take them from the top as well see that these are all different shapes and textures and we've got some larger ones here now in the course we're going to show you how to hand paint them and really give them some extra detail but for this just a quick and easy trick take luster dust which is just a edible pearlized powder and just by brushing it on it really brings out the detail in the highlights also got one in a platinum color and then taking your little jeweled items and just pressing them into your buttercream to take it to the next level if you want to accent with just some quick little pearls or dragees you can just take a pearl with a little bit of buttercream and pop it in the middle of some of them even use little silver dragees so just a really quick way to fancy up your cupcakes using some molds if you'd like to learn more about these techniques or wedding cakes please enroll in my course a jeweled wedding cake at craftsy.com
