Do you want that salon glow in the comfort of your own home? My name is Keeley Selvage with Keeley's Skin Solutions and I'm going to show you a couple different ways to do a home-made facial scrub. The first one that we're going to do is we're going to use coffee. This one is my favorite. The coffee is actually the exfoliant. That's what's going to remove the dead skin. So I have about maybe a tablespoon to two tablespoons of coffee in my little cup here, and then I'm going to add some cocoa, and then just take about a tablespoon cocoa, and then I'm going to add oil. You can use almond oil. You can use olive oil. You can use sesame seed oil if you like. Not baby oil, that would be harmful, so we don't want to use that. So, I'm going to add maybe a tablespoon of oil, maybe half a tablespoon and you just stir it until you get the right consistency. If it feels to thick, put a little bit more oil in it, if it feels to thin, put a little bit more coffee in it and you're good to go. The reason this is such a good facial scrub is because the coffee and the cocoa are both actually very stimulating to the skin so it's going to encourage regrowth of the skin, and then of course, the coffee grinds are going to take off that old skin, so it's going to leave you with a really nice glow. Thee other one I'm going to show you is with oatmeal. Oatmeal is very calming and soothing to the skin so it's an excellent one. And again, I'm going to use some olive oil, which is going to be hydrating. We're going to add just a little bit, and then I'm going to use some lavender to kind of go along with the oatmeal. It's very calming and soothing. We're going to put maybe three drops of that in there. And we're going to stir it up. That to me looks like it needs a little bit more oil. So, we're going to add some more olive oil. Blooop! Put that on there. And both of these exfoliants, or these scrubs, you want to take your time. Maybe spend about five minutes doing exfoliation on your face, neck and chest, but don't use pressure. Just let the weight of the your fingertips do the work and just spend more time doing it. It's going to leave you with a beautiful, healthy glow. My name is Keeley Selvage with Keeley's Skin Solutions and that is how you do an at home facial scrub.
