Is there such thing as a "free" equivalent to Microsoft Virtual Server? I'm a student, I'd love to play around with this technology without the fear of my licence disappearing the day I graduate from college (as it might with the Microsoft Virtual Server licence from Dream Spark. Anyone any suggestions?

The closest equivalents that I can think of are VirtualBox or Xen. Wikipedia has a list of virtual machine softwares.
