all right I thought I'd put a video on how to make nickel acetate so basically I've got a welding rod on each side here that I have stripped the flux and bent it into shape I've got a positive and a negative on each end I have poured distilled white vinegar all the way to almost the top and I put like you know half a tablespoon of salt in there then these cords go down plugged in to know if you can see it but just a cell phone adapter will the one that I that I took apart and put these little clamps to so anyway you can see it fizzing and so basically it's pulling from one side to the other and mixing up through the vinegar the nickel and it'll make the solution so I'll check back maybe in a couple hours and let you know what it looks like all right here we are three and a half hours later so like I said I'd come back in a few hours so you can see here that it's still fizzing away so the interaction just taking plays you can kind of see it's got a like a nice little green tint to it so I'm going to hit the hay and hopefully in the morning we'll be able to see a little bit more of result I'll check back with you later okay it looks like we've had about I don't know 1415 hours or so as you can see it's getting pretty green in there still still fizzing quite a bit so the interaction is taking place so so as you can see you know I would say a good you know 24 hours is probably minimum I've had this going at previous times for a couple days so I'm just going to kind of check back and see where we're at and as soon as I see it get to the green saturation point that's when I'll start using it for my nickel plating so I'll check back okay here we are it's been let's see exactly 24 hours so you can see that we're really getting to a pretty consistent darker green nickel of color and so I'm going to leave it for another day because I'm not in a hurry to nickel plate anything but it's hot everybody would like to see the process the plating see here it doesn't look too bad I mean you can you can kind of tell sometimes I sometimes I switch these two back and forth just because it'll stimulate you know the process from one side to the other but anyway we'll see how it is in another day or so and then I'll be ready to do some planing thanks a lot alright here we are we're going on oh gosh I think it's been about not quite 48 hours probably about 42 hours or so so you can see I'm about there so I think tonight I'm going to nickel plate some stuff so I'll drop a quick little video on that and that basically shows you the time frame and how to make the solution
