here's another keepsake crafts video for house of gems today's earrings are a study in silver and turquoise dangles so to get started we're going to make our bead dangles and you do that by sliding a bead onto a head pin and if you had small decorative head pins that would look pretty here as well and then trim that wire about a quarter of an inch above where it comes out of the bead now since this is silver plated i'll be saving those for recycling then you want to grasp that wire with your round nose pliers and you shouldn't feel any wire it should be right at the tips and at the top of those pliers and then twist your round nose pliers and when you can't twist any further loosen them a little shift back and twist again and you want that wire to just cross over itself because we're going to grasp the side the unopened side of that loop that you just made and kink it back so that it's nicely centered above the bead and as you can see the loop opens then so by having it cross over itself as you do that you end up with a nice closed loop and you're going to repeat that for 20 of your beads so you can see i've gone ahead and made all 20 of my little dangles i've also added those dangles to one piece of chain so i can show you something but let me show you how to add these so we have 10 dangles for 11 links of chain and we're going to pick up a dangle hold it in your non-dominant hand use chain nose pliers to twist that loop open and then hold the chain so that you can feed the last link right over the loop and then use your chain nose pliers to twist that loop closed make sure it's closed securely that was the easy one the rest of them they do kind of get progressively trickier so now i've opened the next one i'm holding it in my non-dominant hand i'm going to find the next link and kind of isolate it with my fingernail with my thumb here and hold it and slide the chain link right over that open loop and then close and repeat all the way up you have 11 links and 10 dangles so at the end you will have an extra link this is what it will all look like all attached together like i said it gets a little tricky because it's so small but you can do it my eyes aren't great and i was able to do it so there's the last link so i'm just going to set that there for a moment and to finish your earrings you just open a jump ring that onto that last link and then slide on the ear wire and then close it securely it's good when you hear that click that means the jump ring is closed it's sliding over itself and there you have it a really cute pair of dangle earrings
