would you like to learn how to make a drink that was made famous in Alabama in 1975 I would stay tuned then we'll show you how hey what's up everyone this is Eddie from average Joe drinks you know I'm Vince and we're here to make drinks suitable for the average Joe just let my father intended when he spent the bulk of his life collecting drink recipes we've got over 11,000 and we're gonna share some with you now that's right so sit back enjoy and please try this at home so Eddie you have actually a real popular 80s drink the Alabama slammer how to make an Alabama slam how to make an Alabama slammer and if you have not yet seen our sequel Schlemmer stay tuned in the video and I will put a link on there but you need to check that out cuz and it's based off of this drink so the Alabama slammer was a drink that like a lot of drinks was made popular college so according to the most popular version of the history of it it was made in the 1975 University of Alabama ok makes sense and then and then made more popular by Brett Favre and 80s so this is a pretty easy drink to make it's equal parts of Amaro slogan and Southern Comfort and two parts of orange juice now you see this made a couple different ways I'm going to do one ounce per drink of the slogan a lot of times people will they'll build a drink kind of like you do a tequila sunrise and that's fine the problem is it's kind of pretty because it is layered but as you're drinking it what you're doing is you're getting a whole lot of alcohol and then you get the orange juice almost as a chaser so I like to mix it up well when we're making these things in college we were making shots yes and then it can also be made as a shot so it's really your choice I did one ounce per drink of the amaretto and I'm doing one ounce per drink of the Southern Comfort my best to try to spilled it but it didn't get to and then we're gonna do two ounces per drink of the orange juice so I'm puttin four ounces and then we are going to shake this up not that because that was more putting shaker there we go so often happens I have two boxes right on me oh it just makes it so convenient you know if you have absinthe all kinds of things just like pure yeah but they can't see it only hey good sorry I wouldn't have the same effect so we're gonna fill this up we have a highball glasses filled with ice and we're gonna spill some on the table all right there you go what's ahead rink all right we're just gonna we're gonna garnish this with a couple oranges in a couple cherries and we should probably have straws but I don't like straws so you know like straws no no no usually I forgot them either way no that was that much Cheers yeah that's a good drink that's one of the dangerous college ranks little on the sweet side so few lines in your trance you're gonna like this you got the fruit you got the citrus I don't think that there's anybody that dislikes amaretto yeah if you do then I don't know if you do then go see one of our other videos with things that doesn't have them ready problem solved no that's a good drink anyways yeah that's at Alabama Slama it's a classic college drink easy to drink easy to make and then easy to have too much of a used to drink that many of them and then go take a nap so as you see that you know by mixing it I think it does a lot for the actual taste if you build it it'll look a little prettier the color wise but I'm not staring at too much I'd like to drink to the side well then you can give a straw and people can stir it up themselves and yeah if you want good buddy wins exactly I can do you have no seriously it's a good drink it needs to be stirred I really think it needs to be certain if you hadn't weren't you sitting on the bottom it wouldn't taste the same yeah exactly so all right well if you liked what you saw today we'd ask you to do a few things please like the video on YouTube and we really do look at that it doesn't make us feel good it's all about making us feel good right yeah we are on Facebook so please go over and take a look we've got a lot of funny material on there we also alert you of any videos new and old on Tuesdays every Tuesday we put up an old video so it's nice kinda if you if you're new around here you get to see some of our old videos that we've done and you guys to catch up if people people have asked me what's with this ketchup it's about catching up that's right good and please share we really want to get these videos out to as many people as possible and really just share great drinks we have a blog in average two drinks calm we're on social media you can find us on Instagram occasionally tweet we're going to tweet more some point in the future as soon as the president gets out of our way we want to make sure you drink responsibly we want to ask you to jerk responsibly please do and thank you for watching thanks for watching
