hi I'm Jason lands era with mtm lawn care services this video we're going to talk about three major things you need to consider when we're sodding a new yard or reciting an older yard the first major thing you need to consider when having your yard sought it is what type of sod you're going to use there's a lot of factors that go in with the type of sod that you're going to use some of the main things are the region that you live in the trees that you have in your yard if you have a sprinkler system or not and in this video we're using TIFF way Bermuda the reason we're using Bermuda here is we have a high Sun no trees in this yard we have a grass that's drought tolerant and cold hardy so it does need a ton of water and it's just a better by the second major thing you need to consider before laying sod down is the soil putting it on you want soil that's the topsoil just like this a fine nice topsoil you don't want to put your side on top of rock or river rock anything like that you want a nice clean layer of topsoil to lay your sod on so when the sod comes in it looks perfect in the yard it's solid green without millions of bumps throughout your yard so you have the type of sod you want you have your topsoil down now it's time to lay the sod now that your saw it is done you want to make sure to water it in 30 minutes a day for two weeks straight then your lawn should be taking root and looking grateful for the springtime coming and if you would like a free estimate on having your lawn sawed it give us a call at eight 1794 448 83 or check out our website wmd am lawncare com
