Please explain how to paint a winter landscape with mountains, misty trees,in watercolor frosty mountains.video 14

hi my name is Colin I'm from Stockport in the UK and today I'd like you to join me in painting this waterfall okay we're just gonna mix up some watches for this painting and this is just pushing blue just what this will be pushing blue and Indian red then we'll make some stronger versions push some blue and Indian red again when you read a very strong cover someone's room crimson just a hint pushing blue maybe a bit more then we also need some yellow ocher you can use raw Sienna I think this is raw Sienna so burnt sienna so much Murray some Bamba too many dogs I need a favor to this okay I'm just gonna begin by just rewetting this guy area the paper has already been stretched in water go straight in with a watts of Prussian blue just over the sky and then with the other mix of Prussian blue and Indian red strengthen up parts of the sky just allow this to average way and solq and spread in sit-up it just drops from crimson across the sky slightly spread the stronger mix of Indian residents marine Prussian blue has a tendency to fade and dry about 50% lighter this whilst that is going are you at the lake area we wash it push and blew on it taking some out once again or solution the same washing the sky-blue that makes your Indian read into that absent crimson strengthening open some areas all done is that left some masking fluid on the tree stumps on the bottoms which you'll see later also in the bushes or paint the snow we wet the area so choose a push and blue in line with a you think the fall of land would be that you could just drop stronger mix pushing blue and Indian red patches of light just pulling it down in the bush area soften some of the edges take some water off the paper take a dump on this brush do is take out some paint soft with some kitchen towel and don't allow that to dry just one thing before it dries with a dump flat brush just remove some thing you can put in some wind streaks I'll add some interest to you water what we're going to do now just put some shadow side on the mountains so I decide where his shadows are going to be wet the area got some pure week fresh and blue yeah that's a little paints out if you feel you need to okay with a mixture of Indian red and Prussian blue I'll put some rocks into these mountains forget to shape them it's all gulley just by rocking the brush in an arc obviously you'll get more time than me for doing this at home you get the idea I'll just turn the camera off you can finish doing your mountain we'll do the same again to this mountain but only with a slightly stronger mix yeah again it's Indian red for some blue it's nice to have some dark contrast between the light in the dark it's just a real simple way of painting mountains you can create a kind of screen just by dragging the brush through it and the brush is almost dry obviously some of this will get caught up when we do the fir trees you can decide where you want your rocks to be due to time I'll finish this off if now they having done it they look something like this show you how to create some tree lines in the background this is just clean water now I'm just putting along the lakeside and a little bit of the mountain with your stronger mix of Indian red and blue if you start above where you've just laid the water in the color will bleed but you're still be left with the suggestion of fir trees in the background don't make them all the same size and it'll be Nerys as you go on just often offer the don't brush you mix you will get weaker and weaker so you end up with accidental soften up for the damage something enough all the time take water now now that paper is dried we'll do the tops of the fir trees and this is the real strong mixture of pushing blue in Indian red I'm just going to put the tops of these fir trees in helps to have a steady hand you know we're going to put the main bulk of the trees in so with some clean water if you paper lying flat just push some water into it I'll have to be exact we're just dropping color in like I said probably that black bouncing there will get covered up just put it on just drop in some push and blue and Indian red this is a fairly weak mixture because I want this to merge have it like that's done were mixed up you mixed up we'll just drop that inning places do you drop my brush do a dressed-up I'm just fixing a mistake and if you ever do what I've just won there don't panic everything is fixable piece of paper it's all mainly on the left-hand side got some shadow same here the little stipple brush stippling some growth once again with their damn brush just soften the edges off and allow all up to dry okay now the background color for the trees is dried simply put on some darks and just shape these fir trees this is a rigger brush I once again this is a real dark mix oh push some blue Indian red just same everywhere don't be too precise with this if you drag the brush with a much more natural effect that said before you can take more time with yours and I come with mine we just give it some limbs okay I want to turn the camera off now you can carry on with this at home and do the same to these trees here I'll come back just finishing up the trees on the right hand side and when we mixed up with the awesome arena and burnt umber that's um dropping some dark shadow sides same on this side play with a few dogs and lights under growth making slightly darker the underside the bush take a dump brush basically that's a fully loaded brush we water and I'm just wiping it on its own so all the excess water is taken off soften the edges in this side to exploring off the fir trees at the bottom where they've died and I've got no light to dry ones your painting is completely dry and I've removed all a masking fluid once is gently soften in some color bring it infants surrounding trees this is just to add some shadow on the where the snow yes keep wetting your brush across it's up to you how much you do with this but don't get carried away and they remove all your lights moving to your bushes and it just helps to break off the dark color mixes three things they're gonna put in a straightforward Sienna I'll leave our little bits of light on the tree trunks we ran into that you can drop your mix of burnt umber and ultramarine downsides this is just what's of interest to your tree trunks after you studied mix don't ya just started the old summary number number two it wash and at the same time complete this third string of course there's no foliage on the booth tree because we're in midwinter just continue with you rigger brush painting I'll just do a few of these turn the camera off due to time again you just coming on putting your branches in now then hopefully your tree looks something similar to setup and all I've done if the rest here is just added some twigs and sticks and branches and just softened off the edges this was done with the burnt umber and ultramarine mix all that's left to do now is to sign it I say thank you for watching this is a painting that anybody can do
