all right everybody I'm going to be showing you how to replace windshield wipers on a Ford Fiesta this here is a 2013 model and on this model you have a 24 inch blade on the driver side got a 16 inch blade so keep that in mind when you're purchasing new wiper blades for this demonstration I've got feet the rain-x latitude water repellency blades and they do just well so first step is to open the package and take out the blade this is what it looks like brand new this yellow thing is just to protect the rubber for the time being so for this first step you've got this plastic outer case that you need to remove so to do that you've got two flaps here that they peel out and so basically what you want to do is yo you want to peel it out and then while you do that you want to pull back on it this way to remove it this is probably the hardest step of them all and just comes off like that and you can just throw this in the trash now for the Ford Fiesta 2013 model this is an instruction that come with it and it has different instructions it has for the INL the narrow ptb and just the regular ptb this 2013 Ford Fiesta specifically is the narrow PTV and then so from the narrow ptb you've got this dark blue plastic piece on there to remove that you've got two squishy pieces that you can squish together pull the blue piece down and just this comes off and again you can just discard that to the trash now the next step is to remove your old wiper blade to do that these are the original manufactured ones that came with the car when I purchased it so to remove these ones you just gotta press this little black piece that's in the center press that down and then pull the old wiper blade out and up and it just comes right out and then again just discard that and then the new one snaps in a little bit differently than the original one so for the new one these prongs are going to go in first and then this top part is going to go on top and you want to get it lined up so you get it in there straight and then you just you just push it down and you want to hear the snap and if you don't hear the snap that's not security and you definitely want to check it by pulling on it to make sure it's in there good and if you ever need to remove it or let's say you put it in quick read like I did the first time basically this little where it says rain-x this little tab it pulls up and then you just pull it out once you get these installed you can go ahead and remove the yellow protective layers and discard those and that is it Reyna specifically for these wiper blades these latitude wide with policy ones recommend that you have a clean and dry windshield and then run the wipers on a dry windshield for for two to five minutes and then run the air water sprayers shortly and that will help improve the water repellency that's it guys thanks for watching
