hi and welcome back to brunette comm today we're going to be learning treble two together it's a basic decrease of two treble stitches the most common abbreviation you see for it says TR 2 T og so treble 2 together it's nice and tall fairly simple to make and I'm gonna take you through it step-by-step so let's get started so today we're working on trouble 2 together and it's a fairly basic stitch and I'll take you through it step by step and what you're gonna see I have a basic swatch here and that's just so I can kind of show you how to work the stitch and this is just single crochets here and these are just basic treble stitches and that's just so I can show you I have a 5 millimeter crochet hook that I'm working with and in working with Bernat SuperValu as my yarn and what we're going to do is we're gonna start our first our stitch just like we would a regular treble stitch so we want to wrap our yarn around our hook twice so we have our working loop and our two wraps and since we're actually working this stitch over two stitches we're working two stitches together it's a decrease stitch this is my first stitch and that's going to be my second stitch that I'm gonna work into so I've got my yarn wrapped around twice and I'm gonna go into this first stitch right here then I'm gonna wrap my yarn around my hook and pull up a loop and so far everything is exactly the same as you would if you were making a regular treble stitch so the next thing we want to do is we want to wrap our yarn around our hook and we want to do this kind of repetitive stitch which will build our height so we've wrapped around and we want to pull through two loops and I want to do that one more time I want to wrap around and pull through two loops until I just have two loops left on my hook and this is where things get different if I was going to be just working a regular treble I would wrap around and pull through those last two loops but I don't want to do that I want to actually start another treble stitch into the second stitch that I have here so I have my two loops that are left from that first treble and I'm actually gonna wrap around twice as if I was just starting a brand new stitch and I didn't have these here so I've wrapped around twice and I'm gonna go into that second stitch and I'm gonna wrap my yarn around my hook and pull up a loop at this point you're gonna see that I actually have five loops on my hook so you might want to just double check at this point to make sure that you have your five loops and I'm gonna work the treble just like I would until I have three loops on my hook so I'm gonna wrap my yarn around my hook and I'm gonna pull through two loops so pull through two loops I'm down to four loops on my hook so I wrap around once pull through two loops on my hook and now here's the point where I have three loops on my hook and this is how I finish this stitch I wrap my yarn around my hook and I pull it through all three of those loops and basically what you can see is that it finishes the same at the top with one stitch at the top but it's actually got two stitches going into that one so let's go through that another time so you can really see what I've done so I want to start it just like I would a regular treble so I wrap my yarn around twice and then go into my first stitch here I want to pull up a loop and then I want to wrap my yarn around my hook and pull through two loops and I want to do that one more time so wrap my yarn around my hook and pull through two loops until you just have those two loops on your hook now I want to start my second treble stitch so I want to wrap my yarn around my hook twice and I want to go into that second stitch and pull up a loop so to pull up a loop I want to wrap my yarn around my hook and pull a loop up there so this is the point where you want to double check and make sure you have five loops on your hook now I want to wrap my yarn around my hook and pull through two loops one two now I have four wrap my yarn around my hook and pull through two again and this is the point where I'm sorry I've caught a thread here so let me just backtrack and pull through two loops and that will happen to you as well at times and that'll happen less and less the more you practice so here we have three loops on my hook and this is the point where I want to finish off the stitch so I want to wrap my yarn around my hook and pull through all three of those loops and there again you can see I have my two stitches right here one two one two stitches and they both join together at the top and that's your treble two together so thanks for joining us that's all there is today and we'll see you again at bur calm
