I'm Deena I'm my colorist here at Madison Reed I'm also on our color crew so I've probably spoken to quite a few of you so hi in this tutorial I'm gonna show you how I went from this to this I have a lot of gray hair I've been resistant and I started graying as early as 16 so it's something that runs in my family and I'm sure some of you can relate to that as well so let's get started to start I'm gonna clip up my hair into four sections if your hair is on the shorter side don't worry so much about the clips sometimes you can just maybe clip up the front half of your hair so you can just use two clips we also include the barrier cream inside your kit what this does it prevent staining along your skin and your ears and what you want to do is be careful not to use too much because you could possibly get it right on your gray hairs and what will happen is the color won't penetrate through the barrier cream so there's a generous amount in here so little goes a long way so now I'm gonna put on my gloves now I'm gonna mix the color this is your activator bottle and this is your color the tube is in here what you're gonna do is for the tube of hair color into your bottle of developer and shake it out I'm also going to show you how to do your color with a bowl and a brush by pouring each component into this bowl and brush mix it up and apply it that way personally that's how I do my hair color and I never miss a spot that way I'm going to show you how to do a bottle application so once you've mixed it up you want to remove this little cap and start where your more gray so for me it's more on the top and then on the hairline be sure to fully saturate so that's how you would use a bottle application what I'm gonna do right now for you is show you how to use a bowl and a brush we're gonna set put the link down below for you to see and this is my favorite way to apply my color because I do find that the thinner brush helps me with my thinner sub partings when coloring my hair what I find works for me is I start in the middle and I work top to bottom and I continue my thin section as if I were turning pages of a book this is what your application should look like when you're done make sure it's fully saturated I like to even Pat my hair back and make sure it's blended well if you have any extra color in your bowl or bottle be sure to use it and touch up any resistant areas like your hairline also our regular processing time is 35 minutes but for resistant Gray's at an additional 10 more minutes they'll go for 45 minutes we also include a cleansing wipe in your kit this is great for touching up while you're applying your color if you get it on your skin but we're gonna go ahead and do it right now after my color just to make sure we didn't see the skin so here are my results at the Medina Brown it's a level 5 hair color I'm very happy with the results it does a great job covering my gray as you can see they're gone I have nice shine in my hair I did process it for 45 minutes which is what we recommend if you do have it stubborn gray and remember start your processing time after you complete the application so let's say you start your application at 12 you complete your application by 12:10 that's when you're gonna start your timer for 45 minutes so there you have it my name is Dina please give us a call Cha or email you can also comment below we love to hear from you we love to give you a personalized consultation and match you up and you can enjoy your color just like I am thank you you
