it's me Heisenberg here and in this video I'm gonna be showing you guys how to download and install skylight EMV which was requested by a few of you guys but um it's quite a underrated preset I've been using it for the past couple days and it's actually really beautiful so I'm actually kind of excited to do this tutorial but um real quick before we get started I just kind of wanted to apologize that it's been almost three weeks since I've uploaded a video I've been doing a lot of upgrading on my computer I just upgraded to a 980ti and I'm also upgrading my CPU and my um or I'm upgrading my CPU to i7 49 48 47 90k and I'm getting a blue Yeti with a pop filter and boom arm by next week so I won't be having this really shitty audio quality but um anyways guys I just kind of wanted to let you know that but um yeah so let's jump right into it there'll be a link for this amb down in the description if you're not already here and um before we actually get started with the actual installation process the author highly recommends that um that you use the Skyrim particle patch for EMB there's a link right here if you right-click it and open like a new tab it'll take it to the page for it and you can just click particle patch all in one installation and it'll start downloading as an archive file well I'll um I'll show you guys how to install this in just a second I'll give it some time to install but um the weather mods that you can use for this a and B are climates of Tamriel or you can use the vanilla weather or peer weathers and the absolute required mod for this EMB is enhanced lighting for EMB but you can also use it in unison with other lighting overhauls like L effects realistic lighting overhaul or relighting Skyrim and optional but recommended mods are ultimate HD fire effects and the Skyrim flora overhaul so um yeah you're more than welcome to use whatever configure you'd like but um just make sure you're using the particle patch either climates of Tamriel the default weather or peer weathers and enhanced lighting for EMB but um for the particle patch once it's done installing you're gonna get a pop-up window that looks something like this so you're gonna need either WinRAR or 7-zip and there'll be links for both programs in the description you could just hit backspace and drag and drop the archive on your desktop and if you use Nexus mod manager go to your mods mods tab at the top of your mod manager and click this puzzle piece right here that says add mod from file when you click that let me make my window bigger here go ahead and click the desktop tab and then click skyrim particle patch for EMB and then click open and it'll add it in here as if you downloaded it with manager off of nexus which is cool if you use mod organizer just click this button in the top left hand corner with the CD in the box and it's the same process as the Nexus mod manager just click desktop and then click Skyrim particle patch and um you're gonna get this red message that says no game data on top level Oh an easy fix for that is just right-click the data folder and click set data directory and you'll be good to go and then just click OK and then make sure you check market but I already have this installed so um so yeah so that's how you installed the particle patch and the the enhanced lighting for E and B is pretty self-explanatory you just download that off of the nexus page for it but um one of the one of the very first things that we're gonna do is we're gonna click the files tab and under main files you're gonna see a skylight EMB installation guide which is a you're gonna need this because you're gonna need it for a future step for when we have to edit or any settings so if you don't if you don't already have it installed just click download manually and it's gonna start downloading as an archive file and just go ahead and open it up and it's gonna be opened up as a PDF file and when you get here just when you get to step 2.4 just I'll make sure you leave it up for this part because we're gonna need that later but for now we can just minimize it and and yes so make sure you get that installed and what we're gonna be doing next is um we're gonna download the we're gonna go to EMB dev calm and I'll have a link for this in the description so we're gonna click news download and then we're gonna scroll down to the bottom of the page and click tes Skyrim and then it uses the most recent EMB binary so we're gonna click version 279 and we're gonna scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click the download arrow and no other button cuz it's just uh it's just ads if you see another button but um once it's once it's done installing you're gonna get a pop-up like this and you can go ahead and hit backspace and drag and drop it onto your desktop and we can go ahead and just leave this here for just a second and we'll come back we'll come right back to that you can go ahead and close out of EMB dev and back under the file section under main files you'll see the climates of Tamriel version the pure weathers version or just the vanilla version so whatever weather mod you're using make sure you download the correct one for your game I'm using climates of Tamriel so I'm gonna download that file manually and uh again the same as the binary files it's gonna it's gonna download as an archive file so we can go ahead and hit backspace and just drag and drop it onto our desktop and uh once you have both of these archives on your desktop we're gonna basically just turn them into folders so we're gonna right-click on them and if you use WinRAR you can go ahead and click this third option right here and if you 7-zip you can bring down your menu and click this fourth option right here and like I just said it's gonna extract it into a folder which is what we want where did it go whatever let's try this again oh here it is okay and then we're gonna do the same thing for the skylight folder so right-click it when our users click this option 7-zip users bring up your menu and click the fourth option and you'll be good to go so uh once you've done that you can go ahead and delete both of the archives and what we're gonna do now is we're gonna locate our Skyrim folder so uh if you use Nexus mod manager an easy way to do that is if you click this uh this folder right here with an arrow coming out of it you'll get a drop-down menu click open game folder and it'll take you right to your Skyrim folder now unfortunately if you use mod organizer I'm unfortunately not currently aware of a button that'll just take you right to your Skyrim folder but if you look in this little filter section down here it'll tell you the letter drive it's on and then programs steam steamapps common Skyrim so it's gonna be wherever you have steam installed but I'm either way you'll know you're in the correct place when you see Skyrim launcher and tes V if you don't see the dot exe at the end of your files like like you do on mine don't worry about that it's the same thing either way now once you have your Skyrim folder opened we're gonna be opening up the 279 EMB series folder that we downloaded off the EMB dev and you're gonna see an injector version and you're gonna see a wrapper version now uh I say this in every single one of my videos but I'm gonna keep saying it I'm gonna be going over the wrapper version but if for some reason the wrapper version doesn't work out for you like when you go to launch your game and it says EMB host XE not responding or if you just have like a lot of crashing it's probably because you need to use the injector version and I'm gonna have an annotation that you can click on right about now that'll take it to a really good injector version tutorial on how to setup your file structure for it but up for now just go ahead and open up the wrapper version and when you get there you're gonna need three files out of here usually you only need two but the reason why you need three is because the EMP files do not include the EMP local file so um hold down ctrl and then click on the d3 DLL EMB host and EMB local and then let go of control and then you can just copy them and paste them into your Skyrim folder and once you've done that you can just close out of there because we're done with it and then we can go ahead and open up the skylight folder and whatever weather mod you're using it's gonna say the name of it right here so go ahead and open it up and there's only two two files in here so we can just go ahead and copy those and paste them into our Skyrim folder and the ENB is pretty much installed now we just have to edit a couple of settings but um now we can go ahead and open up that PDF file that I was telling you guys about earlier and I'm gonna show you guys how to edit your any settings I'll show both Nexus mod manager and model organize their users how to do it if you use uh Nexus mod manager bring up your uh yeah bring up your folder and go to my documents my games Skyrim and then you should see a Skyrim dot ini' file and a Skyrim prefs not any file we're gonna be focusing on Skyrim prefs and I highly recommend that you install a program called notepad plus plus there'll be a link for it in the description if you're interested but if not just go ahead and click Edit and it'll come up if you use mod organizer go ahead and bring it up and click this for puzzle-piece button right here and you'll get a drop down menu go ahead and click any editor and you'll see two tabs at the top just click the Skyrim press tab and you're on the correct place now if we go ahead and bring up that PDF file I was talking about you'll see the first setting which is IMAX and iced coffee if you go ahead and double click that it'll highlight the word for you automatically you can do ctrl C which is going to copy the word for you automatically Nexus mod manager users go to your notepad and do ctrl F to bring up a find menu and then ctrl V to paste it and then you can either hit find next or hit enter and it'll find the setting automatically for you and make sure that setting equals one if it's set to something else now mod organizer users before you do the ctrl F ctrl-v make sure you click in the box first and as you can see once I did that it highlighted and blew around it so that's how I know the box is selected and then I can do ctrl F ctrl V and then find next so uh yeah it's pretty easy so you're gonna do that for all the settings so just double click ctrl c ctrl f ctrl v and if it says cannot find just make sure you add the setting automatically so I'm probably gonna go ahead and speed this part up so you guys don't have to sit through this you alright guys so once you've edited your any setting spot organize your users go ahead and click your Save button down here and then you can close out mod organizer users once you once you're once you've completed editing or any settings go up to file and save or you can do ctrl s and then you can close out and what we're gonna be doing now is we're gonna go back to our skyrim folder again where we copied and pasted all the ENB files and we get there hold on and we're gonna be opening up the EMB local file and uh it may or may not have the dot any at the end of it if it doesn't don't worry about it but um under this little memory section right here we're gonna be focusing on four different three different settings which are reserved memory size MB video memory size MB and auto detect video memory size now I'll try to explain these as easy as I can cuz it can really confuse people big time reserved memory size MB um I I don't really know how to explain it in the technical term but uh just know that it has something to do with RAM and 128 is the lowest number you can use and 1024 is the highest number you can use and this number is to be increased or decreased in intervals of 128 and I have a diagram down in the description for all the correct numbers that you can used out like I said down in the description if you have three gigabytes of vram or more not regular Ram vram 512 is a pretty good baseline to start at but if you have less than three gigabytes of vram 256 is a pretty good baseline to start out so I have a 980ti which has six gigabytes of vram so I'm gonna use 512 and video memory size MB is how much vram that your video card has in megabytes so like I said I have a 980 which has six gigabytes of vram so six one four four would be the correct number for that and I have one through four gigabytes I have the correct configurations for the video memory size down in the so um 1024 would be for one and then 248 would be for 2 3 0 7 2 4 3 & 4 0 9 6 4 4 however auto-detect video memory size if you don't know how much V room you have and if you don't even want to worry about it like you don't want to bother for it just put this at 0 excuse me and set this to true and you won't even have to worry about the video memory size because this will automatically detect it but if you're one of those people like myself that likes to set everything manually then put this to false like it was that default and put this at the correct configuration for your system so um once you've edited these three settings you can just go up to file and save or ctrl s and then close out and we're gonna go back to our skyrim folder again and we're gonna open up the skyrim launcher and once it's opened up we can go ahead and click options and then where it says anti-aliasing right here you're gonna make sure that's off and your anisotropic filtering you're gonna want to make sure that sets off as well and then under this detail tab right here go ahead and click advanced and make sure FX AAA is disabled and once it is go ahead and click close and then click OK and then click exit and once we've done that the E&B is pretty much installed now so I'm gonna go ahead and run my game and I'll show you guys what this EMB looks like in just a second so I'll be right back alright guys so once you've loaded up your game you should get this popup message in your top left hand corner and if you don't get that message you definitely did something wrong so make sure you go back and double check that you've done my steps exactly as I've done them and then you'll get this yellow message telling you if you press shift and answer by default it'll bring up this editor menu and this is called your GUI menu and you can pretty much edit or tweak the ENB however you want through this message or through this menu under the effect tab you can uncheck and check stuff for a performance reasons and whenever you want like whenever you're done make sure you click Save configuration and then apply changes and then shift answer to get out of it and then another quick tip is if you press the star key on your number pad it'll bring up a little FPS counter in your top left-hand corner if you don't have like fraps or something like that so I'm gonna go ahead and load up my game just so you guys can see what this looks like so I'll see you guys once the game is all loaded up alright guys so once your game is loaded up you should be able to immediately tell that the ENB is working correctly and if for some reason you aren't able to tell to toggle the MB on and off you hold down shift and press f12 and it'll turn the EMB off so you can turn it off for performance reasons or or whatever and then shift up twelve to turn the ENB back on I'm gonna put clearweather on real quick but uhm yeah guys this was how to download and install skylight eme and um there's unfortunately not it the sun's usually out when I load my game up because the Sun looks absolutely beautiful with this EMV but um but yeah guys sorry it's been so long that I've uploaded a video I've been meeting to try and upload three plus videos a week but um I've been like I said I've been upgrading my computer hmm stuff like that I've been doing a little bit of working so uh so yeah that's why I've been kind of missing an action lately but I'm gonna try and upload a lot more once I get my new setup going especially when I get my new microphone but um but yeah guys this ENB is really good on performance the only reason why I'm only getting like 43 frames per second right now is because I'm using fraps to record my gameplay cuz shadowplay washes out my gameplay footage usually I'd be getting like I would be constant 60 frames per second right now but um yeah guys like I've already said this was how to download and install a skylight EMP I hope this was easy enough to follow along and like I always say if you have any EMB requests or any other video requests just leave them in the comments or send me a message and I'll make the
