I'm Susan Ting on behalf of Expert Village
and I welcome you here. Today I will show you how to do a double walled carved pieces.
The next step is for this piece to set aside, let it dry slowly. Actually I usually cover
it and let it slowly dry. Otherwise, it will dry uneven. All these leaves will dry uneven
and they will crack. I usually wrap them up, set them aside. It could take weeks before
I could do the first firing, called the bisque and then after the first firing which is up
to 1900 degree, then I will glaze the pot and then go into the reduction kiln. The big
kiln outside and that will fire another 14 hours. The first firing is 8 hours and then
the second firing is 14 hours.
