today everyone I'm Joshua Clement fly two contractors and today I'm going to talk about how to install laminate square tiles for this job you'll need a couple tools for this job you will need a straight line I'm going to go ahead and use my level as a straight line you also need a tape measure and a pencil first thing we're going to do is go ahead and find the exact center of our room swim measure the length of the room divide it in half and put a mark and we'll jump down a little bit and put another mark then you layer the opposite direction do the same thing measure to the center of your room and put a mark so as you can see I've already drawn out my marks the way I've done that say toka my straight line put it on my marks I ran my pencil down the side then I turned it the other way and did the same thing the reason I've done that so when I go to install my tile I can take the corner of my tile and put it where they cross each other put it straight on my line this way and straight on my line this way this way I know I'm running square with my floor now I'll just push it into place and grab my next tile using that first tile as a guide I want to go ahead and push my next tile right up to it and then I want to line up my corners here making sure that I stay right on my line and then just press it down into place now I'll repeat the process by doing it on the other side line it up with my existing tile make sure that my corners right in place then just smooth it out now this is the true test to make sure that you're running square go ahead and take your fourth tile put it right in the corner and it should slide right into place with no gaps then you'll just smooth it out then you can go ahead and play your entire floor this way I'm Joshua Clement flatty contractors I thank you all for watching good luck with this project
