hey guys today we are in the kitchen learning how to make guinea pig peopling treats as you may know if you live in the United States it can be very difficult to get pee flakes that is why today I'm going to be teaching you how to make your very own at home these are super easy to make really quick to make and they're very cheap as well so the first thing you're going to need is peas I chose the ones that use to make soup these are dehydrated already but they're split peas you can find these at almost any grocery store I want this in a bowl in the bulk section and this bag right here was less than 10 cents so they're quite cheap and quite easy to acquire the second thing you're going to need is a little Bowl microwave safe Bowl and just a spoon or something to mix with you're also going to need some aluminum foil and something to match the peas with so the first thing you're going to do is put some peas in your microwave safe Bowl I added around a tablespoon to the first time and then I just fill it up with some water and just enough where it's over the top of the piece so I've added a round tablespoon of water so now let's take it to the microwave so I started out by putting them in the microwave for 25 seconds okay so it's done so now we're gonna take it out of the microwave and give it a quick scare first thing now if it has this foam around that's a good sign it is hydrating there we go and now I can just put this back in the microwave for another 15 or so seconds so these are done in the microwave we can just let them sit for around 15 minutes or so and this will just soften the peas further and make it easier to mash them if it is still hard to mash them you can pop them in the microwave for another 10 or 15 seconds to soften the further so now that we've let it sit and soften for around 15 minutes you can go ahead and strain all the water out so now you're just going to mash your piece in a bowl or foil or something like that whatever you want to do and then we're just going to make it into a thick paste so after a few minutes of mashing we've gotten a nice consistency it's kind of like a dry crunchy peanut butter and that's really what we want we just want it moist enough where we can work with it and mash it really easily so now you're just going to grab a small amount of your pee sludge and this is comparison to a penny so around a third of that and then you're just going to mash it with one of your fingers now I don't recommend you do that directly in the oil because chances are it doesn't stick or chances are it'll stick we did get it but we had to solve it take a little bit off so what I recommend doing is just between your fingers like that so it doesn't stick and then you just set it on your tray so let's get some more of those done and you just repeat that process this amount piece luggage will make around 20 or 30 P flakes in total which is pretty decent being that we got this is a quarter of our peak likes then we got all of them current eight cents so I have just finished early all of the peaks in around five minutes I got around 22 peace likes done so now we're gonna go dehydrate these again I'm going to be using my oven and giving instructions for the oven but some people would like to use their microwave after a little trial and error I found that the oven works the best but your microwave still will work efficiently so I will be giving instructions for both so let's go into the kitchen going to put all of your wet pea flakes onto a microwave-safe plate put it in the microwave for 30 seconds take it out flip them all over and then put it back in for another 15 seconds so if you're dehydrating in the oven go ahead and preheat your oven to 400 degrees put the Phoenix in when it's preheated and then set a timer for around 3 to 4 minutes so they've just come out of the oven it only took around 4 minutes so pretty quick but the most important part of making something for your pets is do they like it come here Chad Chad come here Ringo ah you were sleeping hey go chatter there you go looking for more ok let's see what Ringo thinks of him seems to like them too so I think that's a thumbs-up the pea flakes these are pretty much just like the ones that are sold in Europe please are just a lot easier to get your hands on because zu+ does not ship to the United States which is kind of sad but if
